The food was very good and the kitchen was accommodating to dietary needs/requests. I also appreciate how they offer gluten free quinoa-based bread!

Lovely small cafe in hip Philly neighbourhood. Had a breakfast bowl, cacao and kava drink. All extremely tasty. Great friendly service and beautiful artworks for sale and on display!

Everything we tried was amazing. The halfsies kava special was so delicious and relaxing and uplifting, and the guava kava drink was delicious as well. We had the soup special, the falafel salad, and a smoodie bowl and we loved everything. We felt great afterwards and can’t wait to go back next visit to Philly.

What a delightful restaurant with cozy seating and absolutely delicious food. We got the green smoothie bowl, bacon egg & cheese sandwich and the avo toast. All were delicious but if I only got one, it would be the avo toast! Might be my new favorite.

Great cosy South Street Philly cafe vibe, tin ceilings and window seats, plants and tarot cards laying about and all that. Staff and owners are chill and friendly. Food was great with lots of variety for the size of shop, soups & salads, sandwiches and bowls. Plus all the kinds of of juices & to-go juices. All reasonably priced too. This area needed a solid all vegan option! Love it.

awe thanks for this review!!! we definitely are not fast food! lollll but we are streamlining our menu all the time (to include food items that don't take so long in our tiny kitchen) and will be pivoting to focus more on the cold-pressed juice and tea and smoothie and smoothie bowl and kava and euphoric herbal-alternatives-to-alcohol concoctions this summer! see you soon!

Love this cute kava cafe! The food tasted good and was pretty, but was a little bland. That said it's always great to have more vegan options around. The only thing I don't like is that they claim to be 100% vegan but they serve honey in many of their drinks.

we don't claim to be 100% vegan -- our juices are 100% organic! there may have been a typo on the website. and since this review our staff now always asks what sweetener is desired with matcha and turmeric lattes instead of assuming that honey is OK. we hope you'll come back and try again and let us know what you thought was bland because it's very likely that recipe has been edited and corrected since you came! We just opened a few months ago and everything is getting better every day😄

Tasty, cute, and new - Edit
The Lightbox cafe is new to the area. They have drinks, teas, kava, bowls, breads, and more. Lots of great places to sit and enjoy the food. Kind and friendly staff. Great number of options! We enjoyed our smoodies. I look forward to trying some food next time!
