Excellent! - Edit
I hadn’t cut my hair in the almost three years I’ve lived in Taiwan because I just didn’t know where to go to find a salon that uses vegan and cruelty-free products. HappyCow changed that in a matter of days after I received an email notification that Liebling Salon had been added to its database. I immediately booked an appointment through Liebling’s Facebook Page.
Read moreParson took great care of me: he started with a small mug of water so that I could rehydrate after my bike ride over. Then he asked me about what kind of look I was going for before washing my hair. While doing so, he recommended that I use two rounds of shampoo when I wash my hair and scalp each day: the first as a quick rinse and the second as a deeper massage for 60 seconds. That way, my scalp won’t have so much oil built up and reduce hair loss. The shampoo he used felt refreshing and minty on my scalp.
We chatted about his travels to the US, China, and Egypt. Several people came in asking him where his aunt or his cousin was, which was a bit disruptive, but I didn’t worry about it too much. He did a great job giving me a wash-and-wear look that framed my face and would grow out well. NT$700 for a wash and cut ain’t bad! Next time I’ll need to try their food.
Pros: comfortable environment, vegan hair care
