Convenient and tasty bagels - Edit
They open at 6am so we came here before catching our early train from Penn. I got the whole wheat everything with veggie tofu shmear and it was very good—good topping coverage. My partner says this is currently his favorite New York bagel.

They had artichoke, scallion, plain, strawberry and blueberry (maybe more). Grabbed bagels to freeze.
Very happy about this place. Would def go back.

soooo i came innnn and the menu didnt say anything ab vegan options and i got so scared lol bcs tht meant i had 2 ask the staff who r def not vegan ... this is literally my worst fear lolll i hate asking non vegans ab vegan food bcs they never know ... but i asked !! and omg. he asked like 6 of his coworkers and then when i still expressed concern he went back and asked every1 else. so nice. i wasnt hungry so i ordered 2 everything bagels sliced and 2 cinnamon raisin bagels sliced ... tht way i cld take them home and freeze them !! i also got 1 / 4 of tofu scallion cc !! mayb i got lucky but he was so nice and i rly appreciated tht he went out of his way 2 check w so many ppl. he asked as if he was the concerned vegan himself !! means a lot^^ !!

wide variety of tofu cream cheeses. i've had 4 of the cream cheeses. strawberry is the best, blueberry is good but a little sweet, and the scallion and spinach & artichoke ones were pretty bland

They have several vegan tofu cream cheese (both sweet and savory) and most of their bagels are vegan, too. I haven't had many bagels elsewhere before but I definitely liked them at Liberty Bagels. Very affordable, too! The cream cheese is quite heavy for a vegan one, so it makes a quite substantial snack.

Ordered a variety of bagels. Online ordering closed (busy Sunday around Christmas time) so we waited about 20 mins for the food. Toasted salt with vegan scallion cream cheese and salt with vegan spinach artichoke cream cheese. Salt bagels were incredibly salty but bagels were really good.

Many vegan tofu “cream cheeses” to choose from. Better than any cream cheese I remember from my vegetarian days. Thick and delicious. Definitely tasted house made. The bagels are hand made as well and some of the best I’ve had. A true NY bagel. My hubby is not a bagel fan (can you believe it), but they had at least two vegan sandwiches that could be done on rolls. The place was packed, and the line was down the block, but they had an employee directing traffic., and everything moved along efficiently. There are only a few cafe tables outside and bar seating inside along some walls. Next time we plan to order ahead and pickup at their door. But I’m glad we experienced the inside. The display of cream cheese and spreads and toppings was impressive to see.

Incredible Bagels and Tofutti Options! - Edit
Bagels here are SO GOOD. Also—so many tofutti options! It is rare to see flavors like blueberry and strawberry, so that is really cool! My mom and I split a rainbow bagel with strawberry and an everything with artichoke—incredible. Worth the line for sure.

I loved that you can choose the bagel and the filling- all vegan fillings are cream cheese made with tofu and seasoned differently. The rainbow bagel is a feast to eyes! The bagel dough is a bit heavy for my taste (can be hard to chew), so make sure to share if you’re not too hungry.

They have several vegan cream cheeses and bagels from which you can choose. They were packed when I went, but yet the line moved quickly and my food was ready quickly as well. I got the cinnamon raisin bagel with tofu cinnamon walnut raisin cream cheese and it was great! I had to take it back to my hotel as there was nowhere to sit or even stand to eat. That worked out well though, because the bagel was so large I couldn't finish it and I saved the rest for later. It's definitely a good amount of food for the price. I will go back to Libery Bagels next time I'm in NYC, for sure!

So there are so many vegan options it’s impossible not to like this place. BUT! If I’m honest, the bagels are underwhelming for me. I like a crisp bagel - not a chewy bagel. First time I came I got my bagel toasted. This time double toasted! Still chewy. My spouse’s everything bagel was better than my cinnamon raisin, so maybe it’s bagel type dependent? The walnut-cinnamon vegan cream cheese was delicious!

It's a traditional NY bagel/sandwich place that is very busy but that works like a clock. I had the Mediterranean bagel and another Garlic one with Tofu Spinach creamcheese. They were both delicious.
Read moreVegan options aren't clearly marked and if it's your first time there, it may take a while to understand the menu. But all bagels are vegan, so it's basically either choose one of the vegan sandwiches or pick any bagel type with some of the vegan creamcheese options.
