Pretty good - Edit
Quirky restaurant with classic traditional French style decor and seating. There's a separate vegetarian and vegan menu that's mainly Vietnamese style food but also includes a big bowl of French Fries.
Read moreThe food was very good, cooked well and not at all oily or greasy. It's clear time and effort has been put into preparing and presenting the food. Really tasty!
I almost gave it 4 stars due to the choices for vegans and the quality of the food, plus the great service which was friendly and quick. Quick is good if you're parked outside in a 1 hour parking bay! When the nearest vegan restaurant is 400 km away then this place is a pretty good find for some decent food.

Good Food but Needs Improvement - Edit
Our experience at Liberté was mediocre. The restaurant is supposed to be Parisian-inspired but other than the 'French' fries and the decor of the venue, everything else seems to be Asian-inspired.
Read moreOur first impression was not the best. Service was inattentive and slow. Wait staff seemed to be running around a lot without actually doing anything. At the same time, they always looked down which made it really difficult to wave anyone down. Not sure what they were running around doing with a room of vacant tables or they were looking at as we were seated at a table with water bottles but no glasses. We assumed they would bring in glasses but at the 30min mark (when we still had not been waited on), I asked for glasses. The waitress realized there were indeed no glasses that had been provided and chuckled in surprise. We also mentioned we were vegan but were not brought a vegan menu until it was time to order -- at which point we had to ask for an extra couple minutes because we hadn't been given a chance to browse the vegan menu. Turns out the vegan menu is a regular menu except without meat.
The food took a long time to come (again, the restaurant was mostly empty so the lacking service and the long waits were surprising to us). When it did come, it was good but the portions were very small, especially for the price. I asked the waitress if she thought I was ordering enough food considering we were hungry and she said yes, but we left hungry by a long shot with four dishes between the two of us.
Overall, I don't think I will be going back. I feel that the restaurant should work on their service and should offer larger portions for the prices.

Nice restaurant located near the main city centre drag. Excellent service. They have a separate vegetarian and vegan menu that you need to ask for. The salad with shredded cabbage is very good.

Delicious food and great service - Edit
Each dish is so tasty and leaves you wanting more. I shared the curry and tofu with 2 other people and we all had a bao each. If I had more time in Albany, I'd be going back to try everything else they have on the menu, plus having the bao again as it's damn good!
