tasty food, very reasonably priced - Edit
We got 3 large plates for $18 (Singapore dollars - about £10:50). There was a variety of choice and there were lots of local people there which suggests it’s good! There are not physical menus and so you just point to what you want - while things are not marked clearly vegan, they seemed not to use egg (and it is all vegetarian) so aside from the deserts, it mainly was vegan and people were helpful pointing out what wasn’t. The food was really tasty and it’s a really nice place to eat before visiting the temple!

Vegetarian food - Edit
Payment for food definitely needs improvement. Carrying food and drink to queue for payment after ordering the food is both impractical and stressful for the older people . This is true especially on first or fifteenth day of lunar month

Lovely vegetarian foodcourt at temple - Edit
It's a blessing to have a vegetarian dining place at temple accessible by public/office go-ers and alike. They have a caifan stall, noodle stall (under revamp as of Aug 2023), and western stall. They also sell drinks, desserts (really good!), bread, and other things like tea powder.

Great variety of Cheap and good options. - Edit
Great variety, and they have 4 stalls: mix veg, chinese, western , drinks n dessert.
Read moreFor mix veg you can select noodle and 3 dishes for $4. Great variety of options to choose from.
For Chinese they have a Menu every week with different dishes of the day. My fav is the laksa (Wed) and Char Siew (Tue n Sat) .
Western comes with salad, soup and main dish. You can ask for only the main dish since soup is not vegan and I think neither is the salad dressing. They have a menu that changes every two weeks.
Get there by 1pm to avoid disappointment from items being sold out.
Pros: Cheap and good food
Cons: Hard to tell what's vegan

Western dishes disappointment but the local ones are a hit! - Edit
Love the local dishes - tried the fish beehoon and the soup was deep with ginger, fish is super crispy! The free sambal chilli condiments has chunks of meat in there! Truffle spaghetti is average, pea soup is amazing!

Air-Conditioned Food Hall, Mostly with Dairy - Edit
Formerly Five Insights Hall 五观食堂, now renovated into an air-conditioned food hall known as Lian Xin 莲芯膳坊, located at the basement of Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Menu changes daily and there is a suggested donation amount for each dish. There are several stalls serving allium-free vegetarian mixed rice, noodles, Western food, as well as drinks and desserts. Eggless according to the staff. Dairy is not clearly indicated in the menu, and unfortunately is included in many dishes especially Western dishes. Really hope they can switch to plant-based dairy or have vegan options to be more inclusive.
