Favourite Veggie Restaurant EVER - Edit
My friend and I were in Harbin for just 4 days and made sure to eat here 3 times! We couldn’t help coming back! The food is utterly incredible, the restaurant is cozy and calm and the staff are friendly and absolutely lovely!
Read moreWe had different dishes every time we returned and each was better than the last!
Truly an amazing restaurant and one we would happily travel to Harbin solely to eat at!
Pros: All veggie friendly so no worries about anything, Absolutely delicious , Sauces and handmade dumplings available to buy!
Cons: Only in Harbin so we can’t eat it everyday 😢

A serene sanctuary - Edit
It was a true delight to find this (via Baidu Map) right near our AirBnB place. Not far from the Flood Memorial major bus stop, cross-river cable car, and Zhaolin Park, it was a soothing sanctuary amidst the hustle and crowds of the Ice and Snow Festival. It is elegantly decorated, with a very calm ambience and beautiful music. The food is exquisite. It costs a bit more than some other options, but the quality, atmosphere and service all make it great value. The price is also still very good from a Western perspective.
Read moreThe restaurant is all vegetarian, so even if you struggle with the language, you can at least put aside worries about hidden meat products. The menu has photos to help you choose. The staff made us feel very welcome, despite our limited Mandarin.
The food includes a range of faux meats as well as straight-up vegetable-based fare. If I remembered the names, I would recommend everything we ordered! The crispy-skinned "fish" was particularly excellent. There was also a fabulous sweet and sour dish. We lunched there twice in January 2020.
There are three levels, including semi-private group tables, hot pot tables, and a shop selling ethically-produced clothing and other goods. They also sell their own sauces and some faux meats.
There is a bus stop right nearby (look for the pedestrian overpass).
The sign by the entrance includes English text and opening hours.
Pros: Beautiful and calming atmosphere, Top quality food, Warm and friendly staff
Cons: A little outside the middle of town, but not far., Higher price than some
