Surprisingly good - Edit
It's hard to find vegan food in Bucharest that isn't burgers, and while Level Up also has burgers, there's a nice variety of other things to choose from on the menu. It was great to be able to try veganized versions of local dishes.
Read moreThe cabbage rolls with polenta was a really tasty dish. The pizza and quattro formaggi pasta were also very good, made with (homemade?) cashew cheeses instead of the standard store-bought stuff.
I also appreciated that everything is actually vegan (no honey).
Pros: Great food , Chill atmosphere , You can buy local cheeses there
Cons: Need to climb up and down stairs to order

My favourite in Bucharest - Edit
I really enjoyed coming to Level Up. The staff were always so friendly, and the downstairs seating area is really comfortable and welcoming. There are several sofas, so it's a nice place to relax and put on a podcast while you're eating. The menu has a variety of western and local dishes, and all that I had were really good.

Romanian Dishes and friendly Service - Edit
The Service was great and not so impersonal like the other Restaurants in this City. We tried Pizza and the romanian Dishes and everything was tasty. The sour cream was good.

Wonderful food from a lovely host - Edit
I went here with a group of friends, we were all totally happy with the food we got. And the pizza was even approved by an Italian omnivore! Two of us are veteran vegans and we really loved the food, too. On top of that, there is this lovely host. And she was lighting up when we thanked for the wonderful meal 😊

Delicious vegan Romanian food - Edit
I came here twice during my three day trip. The place is really cute. Everything I ate was excellent. I really recommend you try the sarmale dish if you want to try traditional Romanian food without the meat. Not to be missed for vegans and vegetarians in Bucharest!

The place is close to Unirii Square in the Jewish Quarter. My experience with Level up was amazing. My boyfriend and I ordered two romanian traditional dishes .
Read moreI ordered Sarmale with Mămăliguță, which is a very large portion, I couldn't even finish it . My boyfriend had Mici and a burger with fries and salad .
The staff is nice and enthusiastic as the woman from the kitchen spiced our conversation with jokes and fun and made us feel as we were home, somehow.
We will come back for sure.
Pros: Delicious food, Nice people, Large portions

Loved it! - Edit
Really great food and cool vibe.
Read moreWe had 3 dishes but ate one too fast to take a pic. One was a take on the traditional Romanian cabbage dumplings. It came with polenta and white cream sauce - it was perfect! Got the Mac & cheese dish and it was great. Many times Mac & cheese can be a bit too heavy on the diaya or nutritional yeast but this one was just fantastic! We also had the kabab type meat (in the pic) and that’s a great also. We had 3 dishes between the 2 of us and it was just the perfect amount of food. Highly recommended and will be back.
The only negative is that it is in a sketchy neighborhood. I probably would not walk there again late at night.
Pros: Great traditional food options

Awesome - Edit
So I‘m Romanian and I really have to highlight their traditional Romanian dishes. Their sarmale are very authentic and the mici sausages (although not exactly like the original) are very flavorful and moist. Apart from that, their pizza dough‘s incredibly well done (crispy, yet soft and very well seasoned) and the vegan 4 cheese pizza was delicious.
Read moreThe menu lists all the ingredients for each meal, which makes it very easy to detect possible allergens and I liked their transparency with exactly what they put in their food.
The chef/waitress is a very sweet Romanian lady that‘s obviously very passionate about vegan food and incredibly hospitable.
The main room is in their basement and resembles a living room with its colorful furniture, soft lights and comfortable couches. There‘s even power outlets and you can easily spend a couple of unbothered hours working here.
They are also a safe and accepting space for queer people (I came here with my girlfriend) and tourists (0% possibility of being scammed because of language barriers).
Expect around 60-80 Lei per person in total

Delicious Mac'n'cheese - Edit
Must have been one of the best vegan mac'n'cheese's I ever had! Took a while till it was ready but that only means that it was freshly made! I waited downstairs in their cute little dining room that you wouldn't expect from the outside.

Good vegan foodies - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious . We came there very hungry. The ladies from the kitchen were really nice, having fun, making jokes. The food came as they were making, as we ordered some burgers with fries, a pizza and 2 beers. They have good music, painted walls and it smells like incense sticks downstairs. The atmosphere is pretty awesome in there, feels like home, I will surely comeback .

Delicious Vegan Romanian dishes - Edit
If you want to try traditional Romanian dishes but vegan, this is the place to go. We had Mamaliggah with cabbage-wrapped kebabs that was so big we had to take half of it to-go. The "fish" burger was also delicious. The staff (the owner?) Was really nice and there were so many options in the menu. Would definitely return.
