Fresh Food

A very lovely welcome as soon as we arrived by the very helpful staff. Plenty of vegan options which was explained to me, and the food was perfectly fresh and homemade. I had the Falafel wrap, and baklava with coffee to finish. A great place to visit for good food and a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks Levantine!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Value for money , Lovely staff

Cons: None

Why?!

We called in to Levantine last year 2018, excited to see that there is finally another Vegan/ Veggie (Very little options), in Belfast. The chef/ owner even gave us a sample of a dish to taste, which was delicious!
We were looking forward to getting back for a proper meal, but now its March 2019 and the place is no longer pure vegan or vegetarian. It now also serves meat.
Very disappointing!!! So now its off our agenda to try.
For something that would of stood out from the crowd it is now part of the norm!
Shame

No longer vegetarian only - and OK

A not bad place. Ran by a very eager middle Eastern man who was quite chatty in a forthright manner. Explained they have new menu that seems to feature meat. As in, not the fake meat we all love, the real stuff. And bigger prices - totally get this though as rates where these guys are will be a fortune.

Otherwise as my wife is a no garlic-er who isn't a fan of spice, she only got a side salad.
Falafel is not bad but - gotta be honest - have never anywhere been blown away by falafel. Tastes of garlic and cumin.
Also wife mad they didn't have baby changing station.
Otherwise a fine, quick, clean, quite nice mid East cafe - but nothing amazing.
I would go back.

Pros: Quick

Cons: Lots of falafel places now, No longer veg only

Homemade food

I had the best experience in this restaurant! Upon arrival, i was welcomed by one of the owners who recommended lentil soup and (Mediterranean) platter so I took his advice. Everything is homemade and tastes delicious. I don’t feel like I ate in someone’s restaurant but rather in someone’s home. He took such great care for every detail and even squeezed lime himself in my soup at my table before stirring it perfectly for me. How can you get better service than that? Best lentil soup I’ve ever tasted and the platter was great too, I loved the falafel and vine leaf! They’ve recently opened but I wish them well and hope they go far!

Pros: Lentil soup, Owner presence, Homemade food

Delicious food, many of them vegan.

We found this restaurant by accident in Happy Cow when we ran out of new vegan restaurants to try. But there is a massive choice of vegan options including varied platters.

A must to revisit, lovely food and staff.

A Great Find in Belfast City Centre

Was looking for a Vegan restaurant in Belfast but the Happy Cow app only shows 3, so I was disappointed as none were nearby. Walking to Cornmarket I saw this place advertised. Fantastic selection for Vegans! Even though I found this place under Vegetarian Restaurants so it was listed. I had the eggplant falafel which was very nice.

Pros: Vegetarian restaurant with big selection of Vegan , Options.

Cons: Don't sit near the door, it keeps opening when, Pedestrians pass by on the street, you get an icy, Blast in winter.
