All Vegan & All Gluten Free - Edit
Leo's Superfood Cafe is definitely the best way to me!
Read moreThis fully gluten free + fully vegan spot is located in more so in Lake Balboa, California, but actually resides in the city of Northridge, Los Angeles, California in a small plaza lot near the Van Nuys Airport.
It's off the intersection of Roscoe Blvd/Louise Avenue in a small plaza with parking. Their baked good are incredible with a big selection of flavors.
While their Daring Pot Pie is a top favorite. I can't say anything bad about their pizzas, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, shakes, teas, espresso, plates, bowls and other beverages.
I do have to avoid their seed based bread do to my sunflower seed allergy, but everything is clearly labeled and the are very allergen cautious.
Love their Leo's Superfood Breakfast Burrito, "Meat" Lovers Pizza, Hot Hash Keto Bowl and Crunchwrap. Definitely my top recommend aside from the Pot Pie and desserts.
Everything is made with care. The service is excellent and the absolutely love and appreciate their staff as well as all us customers.
Pros: Allergy Awareness, Cafe Restaurant & Bakery all in one, Make things to order
Cons: A little small inside, Not as modern in decor, Some items run out or low in stock

Vegan and GF - Edit
I am not a huge fan of gf food, so I did my best to avoid anything that would have a wheat substitute. I got the southwest bowl. I thought the tofu was really good. The potatoes in it weren’t crispy at all, and the addition of zucchini made it a little watery. Good flavor just not a knock out.
Read morePros: Flavor, Huge menu, lots of choices, Nice staff
Cons: Up charge 4% if you don’t pay cash

I want to give more stars but I've been disappointed too often.
Read moreCrunchwrap is not anything close to what you expect and is a complete mess to eat.
It was overloaded with bell peppers and zucchini and I was expecting the "beef" crumbles with a corn tortilla inside but that was not in there so it's more like a "no crunch" wrap with veggies and sour cream.
They give you 1 tiny salsa so I had to go back inside to get more napkins and salsa.
I barely could finish it because it was not that good but didn't want to ask for them to make me something else.

Leo’s leveling up! - Edit
Updating my review because it’s only fair to do so. I revisited for breakfast and wow the breakfast offerings is delicious! It delivered beyond my expectations. The pancakes are so fluffy and flavorful that I couldn’t believe they were GF. The whole Grand Slam plate was tasty except the veg sausage was a bit overdone and dry, but still enjoyable. I am looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu. 💡tip: pay with 💵 and receive a small discount.

Cool little spot that offers some flavorful GF eats.
I ordered through their online portal and the process was was simple and the pickup went smoothly.
I ordered the Pesto Tofu Scramble Wrap with a second gf wrap. When I returned home the additional wrap was missing and the wrap completely fell apart and was a mess. It sucks because I knew about this issue which is why I paid extra for the additional wrapping. The flavor of the ingredients were good and fresh. However it’s not necessarily a good first impression to be charged for an item that wasn’t included in the order and the meal was a complete mess to eat.
On the brighter side the dozen cupcakes I ordered were very flavorful for being GF.
I think the strawberry and vanilla were the favorites.
I’ll have to try this spot again but probably avoid any of the messy wraps.

Delicious comfort food! - Edit
This place is awesome! Breakfast is served all day. We got Leo’s Superfood Burrito, fried loaded w chorizo, and a mushroom and black bean quesadilla, and three meals were perfect. Portions were large. For dessert, we loved the cupcakes—they were super decadent and beautiful. We also tried the no sugar added cinnamon raisin bun, and it was quite good! They have a good selection of coffees, shakes, and other drinks.

Tasty & Quick - Edit
UPDATE: went there a second time October 26, 2023. Ordered two tacos, a breakfast burrito, fries and a chocolate shake. All of these things were highly delectable!
Read moreThis is a very casual, small counter-service restaurant. The owner - David - is very personable and sweet, as is Aud who was working there when I visited today. I asked if Leo was there, and there is no Leo - David just named it that based on Leo the Lion.
I work for HappyCow and presented them with a 5-star window decal that you will see on the photos I added. They were SO happy to receive this!
I ordered the quinoa bowl and it was hot when it got to my table. It was SO delicious! There was a generous amount of avocado on top and the bowl was filled with yumminess. The service is super quick also.
There is seating for 14 inside and 2 outside.
I will definitely go back and order other meals!

Vegan and gluten free! - Edit
I love Leo’s super food vegan café for many reasons. The owner is extremely sweet and amiable. I am signed up for text messages, and there are always good deals on food. I like that they make their own tortillas and have healthier versions of food. They have so many options from breakfast foods, pizzas, wraps, coffees with vegan whip cream, and a big selection of baked goods that vary from day to day. My favorite is the black bean quesadilla and the blueberry donuts! Make sure you eat your food as soon as you order it especially if it is a wrap because if you let it sit, the tortilla will become extremely soggy.

Vegan food with personality - Edit
Eclectic all-vegan eatery in an underserved part of town. Food is tasty and creative. The owner is engaging and knows his vegan cuisine. Not upscale fine-dining, but a mom-and-pop cafe feel with lots of personality. You'll love the paint job. Open since 2018.

I like getting breakfast from here. I admit that I’ve only gotten take out orders here, but everything still tastes great by the time it gets to my table. I’m a big fan of gluten, but if you avoid it then this is a great place for you. If they started selling coffee drinks, I would definitely buy those.
