disaster from beginning to end - Edit
We called in advance and requested vegan tea service, they said “great thanks for giving us a heads up, the chef will prepare something.”
Read moreWhen we got there, we were seated quickly but waited 35 minutes at our table before someone walked near by and we were able to ask for water. Then our server came over and we specified again that we were vegan.
He brought out honey with our tea which was the first red flag but then we realized some vegans eat honey so we were like okay no problem let’s see what they offer. He walked us through the menu and said “so you won’t have the chicken sandwich, you won’t have the salmon, but the cucumber…” and my fiancée said “right but there’s mayonnaise and cream cheese on that one.” And he assured us the chef would be able to come up with something.
Then the tea tower came out. Three tiers, the bottom with a hummus and cucumber sandwich, and an avocado tomato sandwich.
The top two tiers were gorgeous sweets like panna cotta and macarons, but a manager came with the server to say “unfortunately most of these sweets will have dairy in them”. So we asked which ones and they said “all of them”. We were like… okay well we don’t want to waste it, and no one has touched it yet, so just bring it back.
So we were left with two of the driest, most unimaginative sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. This was overall a very disappointing $100 tea service for two peppermint teas and two dry sandwiches. Vegetarians may have good luck here but I would avoid this place as a Vegan. At least we can laugh about it now.
Cons: Long wait time , Bad service, Pricey

Afternoon tea with a true vegan option - Edit
Afternoon tea with a true vegan option! If you’re looking for a proper British afternoon tea with the food tower and all of that, you can we order the vegan option and it was wonderful. Finger sandwiches and small desserts like brownies. As with any afternoon tea reservation you must make a 24 hour reservation, and request a vegan option. It is inside the Chesterfield hotel inside the Leopard lounge and served in the courtyard. Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. Right here in the heart of palm beach!
