Decent not-so-fast fast food - Edit
We were heading for another restaurant that turned out to be closed, and after a long trip from Guatape we were starving, so Lenteja Express filled the void.
Read moreFriendly but very slow service despite the small number of customers. I ordered the arepas. Not the best food I have had in Medellin, but decent. The other dishes were the same: good, but not exceptional.
We loved the street vibe, though. Great to sit outside on a warm night and soak up the ambience.

Good range of food and friendly staff too. - Edit
It can be a bit noisy out on the street but that aside it’s always a pleasure to eat here.

Now fully vegan. - Edit
Very friendly and delicious food. Offer an affordable "Menu del Dia". They say that they are fully vegan now.

Needs to label vegan, great otherwise - Edit
Unfortunately the vegan and veggie options here aren’t separately labeled, so you’ll have to ask. Pretty much everything we asked about was vegan, I think the only exceptions are some dishes which can be ordered with dairy cheese?
Read moreThe hot dogs aren’t hot dogs in the traditional sense, it’s more a whole wheat bun with some vegan chorizo and then topped with a huge amount of veggies, and you’ll want a fork and knife. They’re gigantic, and two will definitely keep you full. The ceviche is full of flavor, sweet without being overly so, and definitely worth ordering. Best of all is that the food here is nice and cheap by Medellin standards!

Ceviche and picada, the bests meals. - Edit
Ceviche is cheap and really delicious. On the other hand, picada is a great opportunity to taste all proteins and many vegetables.

Tasty Vegan Lasagne - Edit
Only had the vegan lasagne (tofu instead of cheese) and really liked it. It was accompanied by slices of toasted bread with pesto. The portion size was average, but enough for me.

small portions - Edit
I had a vegan hot dog. It was pretty small and I doubt that the bread was vegan, it looked like any whole wheat bread you can find in the supermarket, which normally is not vegan. But it was tasty. Probably this place is better for vegetarians, as I'm not the only person doubting about the veganness of the plates. Because I was not full after the hot dog and it started to rain I also had a piece of chocolate cake, which tasted like a normal chocolate cake. They did not take care about their way of dishing up, which is a pity. The cake could have looked much tastier. The staff was friendly but after bringing the food it was not really attentive.

Pros: good place for vegetarians
Cons: expensive, not sure if the food is really vegan, small portions - normal pricing

A convenient place to eat - Edit
Lenteja Express was the only veg*n place I could find in the Poblado neighbourhood that was open later on a Monday night. It's on a fairly nice street and there's a pleasant patio. The food was good, but I agree with another reviewer that the burgers are a bit dry. Still tasty, though. My friend had the vegetarian lasagna and said it was good.
Read moreThe waiter didn't speak much English so I had some trouble ordering and wound up with the wrong thing. If you don't speak Spanish, just make sure they see what you're pointing at on the menu. They did their best to help us.
It's just down the street from Verdeo, which is also nice, so you can choose either one.
Pros: Good food, Clean and cheerful, Generous portions
Cons: Burgers a bit dry

A very-very good Colombian vegan experience - Edit
The menu is short (which i find good) and includes burgers, lasagnas, beans (on Fridays), a Lebanese plate (hummus, falafel...) and so on.
Read moreI took their special burger (and it was indeed specially tasty, together with its criolla-potatoes...)
And all this was like 16,000 COP (a bit over $5 USD)
One more thing, the restaurant is in one of Medellin's trendy sectors.
Pros: Food, Service, Location
