Eclectic Cafe in Holland? - Edit
Lemonjello’s Coffee Shop is little bit of a kooky spot in the historically vanilla city of Holland, GR, and that’s why I love it.
Read moreLemonjello’s was packed with people in the young, hip cafe when I visited. They boast a selection of vegan coffees, pastries, and some food choices on their menu. I tried the Vegan Almond Cookie that was crisp and nutty. The vegan muffins looked a little deflated, but I think it was just a bad patch for the day. The number of vegan options in the not-so-vegan-friendly town of Holland was a welcome surprise.
Their food menu also hosts a few vegan options, like a vegan burrito. Had I not eaten beforehand, I would have tried it out.
The location is great for downtown Holland, as well. It is right in the heart of downtown and easily accessible for touring the cute restaurants and shops nearby.
Thankfully we tried Lemonjello’s after a lackluster visit to Good Earth cafe. Lemonjello’s is where we will be stopping next time we visit Holland. I recommend it for good coffee with alternative milk options, vegan pastries, and hipster vibes.

Great vegan breakfast options - Edit
I didn’t have high hopes for finding good vegan breakfast in Holland, MI but Lemonjello’s pleasantly surprised me. They had several breakfast options including three different vegan gluten free muffins, make your own breakfast sandwich with options for just egg and vegan mozzarella, and a breakfast burrito. I got the vegan tofu, black bean, and potato burrito and it was delicious! I also shared a gf vegan blueberry muffin with my husband which was fresh out of the oven and yummy. There is dairy free milk available for coffee drinks and there are vegan cookies too. It’s a great casual breakfast spot.

great vegan & gluten free options - Edit
This is a coffee shop that also serves vegan and gluten free baked goods, along with typically at least one vegan soup option every day. They usually have vegan chili, which is outstanding. Was there today and they also had a vegan/gluten free split pea soup. They always have several vegan baked goods options. Some are vegan+gluten free. The vegan+gluten free chocolate chip cookies are my personal favorite. Sadly, they were sold out by the time I got there today.

Cool Hangout in Holland - Edit
A solid choice for a hip, trendy coffee shop with good beverages and tasty snacks. Staff is always friendly - counting their piercings may get your head spinning, though!
Read moreIt's a college hangout so go in knowing what to expect. Can get a little loud at peak hours or during the school semester.
Much of their offerings are/can be made vegetarian or vegan and the prices are entirely reasonable.

Having been one of the college students in Holland, this was THE place to go. I believe it still is. Their drinks are scrumptious and their desserts are very tasty, with a good variety of vegan/gluten-free ones too. Lemonjello's has great ambiance and is a place I always visit when I come back to Holland.

Decent Place for Responsible Coffee - Edit
Lemonjello's is very popular with the local college students (Hope College). The atmosphere is upbeat and busy. There are regular vegan options, which are fairly decent. Overall, this is a good choice in terms of vegan-friendly coffee places in Holland.
