Limited options but good!

We stopped in for a snack and some beverages. The experience was nice! We got the Macadamia Nut Hummus which was tasty! Would have been even better if there were more vegan options.

Not much to eat

The only option was a veggie burger which you had to order on a lettuce bun. There were no waiters and we had to order on mobile. No refills were allowed.

Clueless About Vegan Eats

This place was a short walk from our condo, so we thought we’d give it a try. VERY limited options. We picked the “vegan” taro root burger which was amazing. The problem is that they served it with cheddar cheese, aioli and on a brioche bun - each of which is NOT vegan. WTF? So we explained we are vegan and to keep all that stuff off (in a very polite way). Served us the burger on a piece of butter lettuce slathered with aioli! Seriously.

The tofu tacos sounded awesome, but the beer batter for the tofu is made with milk & eggs... of course. They Could not do grilled tofu for the taco. VERY unaccommodating.

Nice people. Very apologetic. But still clueless about how to serve a vegan option.

Pros: Outdoor beach seating, Near shopping & hotels

Cons: No vegan options on the menu without a change, Server and manager clueless about “vegan” food

Vegan options very limited but what you can get tastes good.

Busy beachside location is a popular spot for tourists-wish they were more willing to accommodate a vegan diet. Server seemed annoyed that we asked how things on the menu could be changed to suit a plant based diet - in the end, we had a nice meal but it shouldn’t have been that hard to convince him to ask the kitchen what they could do for us. Ended up with a fresh mixed green salad but subbed avocado for the goat cheese, had the hummus trio that included tasty flatbread and fresh veggies (carrot, cukes, radishes) and had tacos with the taro burger patty instead of fish. Note : the beer battered tofu they have on the menu as an option for the tacos is NOT VEGAN (dairy in batter) - which seems like such a missed opportunity. Putting tofu on a menu as an option instead of fish and not make it vegan? Seems ridiculous. We likely wouldn’t go again but for one night, it was just fine.

Pros: Taro patty is vegan and can be put into tacos , vegan hummus trio and mixed salad (sub avocado), Beach-side dining and island vibe

Cons: VERY limited vegan options, Service not overly accommodating for vegans, Can be long waits for a table

Attentive staff and decent vegan options

Quick important note: there's an upstairs dining room (fancier) and a downstairs beachside grill (more casual) -- we had a reservation for upstairs but when we got there we realized there are more vegan options at the beachside grill. The hostess promptly got us a table, so this is just a warning to other vegans to check both menus before making plans about which of the two places you plan to visit.

We walked to Leilani's from the Sheraton during our stay since we wanted to have dinner while watching the sunset. The vegan options on the menu were limited, but the staff was super attentive and helpful. They knew vegan options right away and knew to ask whether we were OK with honey. Water was always refilled before we finished our glasses.

The two of us split a kale+beet salad (excellent), the vegan burger (average) which came with pineapple+jicama salad (great), and the lilikoi pono pie for dessert (excellent). We asked to add some fries to our order when the burger came out, and they had a piping hot basket of fries to us just a few minutes later. The fries were excellent.

Our expectations were pretty low for a place like this, but we were pleasantly surprised and had a very nice evening.

Pros: Attentive staff, Excellent salad and pie

Cons: Different dining rooms have different menus

Veggie burger and a view

Watched the sun set at the beachside grill and had a passable veggie burger. Definitely the location and drinks were the high point! Onion rings were delicious.

Pros: Location, Drinks

Cons: Limited options

Good view, poor vegan options

The view here is beautiful, but unfortunately the vegan options are severely lacking. Only entree available was a vegan burger with no vegan bun. The burger was wrapped in lettuce and tasted good, but was not satisfying or all that filling. The dessert options were good, though!

Pros: Location

Cons: Limited vegan options, Not that tasty , Expensive

Vegan options and right on the beach

We ate here twice during our vacation. The first time I got the superfoods burger which came with a pineapple salad - both were really good! We went back a few days later, and unfortunately the server informed us they had stopped carrying the vegan bun just the day before! They offered to do it in a lettuce wrap, but instead I ordered the Kale salad and added the burger patty to the top. Really enjoyed the meal, maybe even more than the actual burger! Our server was very helpful and knew what vegan options were available. They were able to accommodate my boyfriend's tree nut allergy as well. And you can't beat the atmosphere and location.
