Bangor Bubble Tea! - Edit
I'll admit that I don't know very much about bubble tea, but I thought I'd give the newly opened Lee's Tea House a try today as I was nearby. The interior is cute and minimalist, and I was hit with an intoxicating sweet smell as soon as I walked into the tea house. There is indoor seating, but none outside, but there are plenty of green spaces with benches within a five minute walk from the tea shop to sit and enjoy your drink.
Read moreAs I'm a newbie to bubble tea, I ordered a basic drink and stuck with a clearly marked vegan option from the menu. It was the Classic Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearl as my included free topping. I was asked how I wanted my ice and sugar and chose to have both Regular. The drink was ready in no time, and the staff who served me and made the drink were both really nice. The drink looked really pretty in a branded plastic cup, and I was also handed a thick paper straw along with it. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my drink, but I'm probably not the best judge of how good a bubble tea it truly was.
I'd happily visit again Lee's Tea House again, and I recommend it to fellow vegans, especially those who enjoy bubble tea. I'd probably go for something a little more adventurous next time. The vegan options on the menu are labelled, with all of the 'Fresh Fruit Teas', 'Fruit Teas' and accompanying 'Toppings' being vegan. There was only one labelled vegan option between the 'Milk Tea', 'Matcha', and 'Specials' sections of the menu. However, from looking at other reviews online I can see that the 'Mango Sago' and 'Brown Sugar Boba Milk' from the specials menu have been made vegan before, so it is certainly worth enquiring about which of the other drinks can be made vegan!

Cons: 50 p Extra Charge for Oat Milk, All Vegan Options Potentially Not Labelled
