very tasty vegetarian food

I had the mixed starter plate, which was absolutely delicious. But you should be aware that this restaurant received a 1/5 rating for hygiene in June 2025...

Pros: very delicious food with lots of vegetarian option, the arabic coffee was 👌, free bread & water

Cons: hygiene in the kitchen seems to be bad

Delicious!

Visited here for a friend's birthday and I was SO impressed by the vegan options. The way they sound on the menu doesn't do them justice at all. I had the falafel - it is by far the best falafel I've ever had. I also had the 'vegan spicy wrap' which was a taste sensation. You should also try the authentic Lebanese lemonade, it was like a sweet majito. Delicious!

Lovely place

Really enjoyed my overall experience here. We went just after opening time at about 12:15 so it was pretty quiet, but there was still a nice ambience. The food was decent and the staff were knowledgeable about vegan food which meant that a yoghurt based dressing was swapped for a tahini based dressing on my starter. The service was quick and efficient. There weren’t loads of options but what we had was nice, reasonably priced, and the portions were plentiful. I’d definitely eat here again.

Pros: Friendly knowledgeable staff, Reasonably priced, Large portions

Cons: Limited options

Tasty Middle Eastern food

The vegan options in the centre of Durham are pretty limited but Lebaneat is a good choice. There are plenty of vegan starters so it's easy to put together a nice mezze. We shared falafel, hummus, baba ganoush & batata harra, which came with lots of flat breads and made a filling lunch of two for just £20. Other vegan starters include tabbouleh, fattoush & stuffed vine leaves so you can add extra dishes if you're hungry or there's a bunch of you. There's also a few vegan mains and wraps. Well worth a visit.

Make sure they know you want the vegan hummus

Ordered the vegan option but language barrier lead to us being served chicken, despite pointing to the menu while ordering.

Pros: Fair amount of vegan options that are clearly stat, Friendly staff, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Need to use more salt, Food quite bland

Great Lebanese food

Great food which is freshly made and bursts with flavour! Lots of vegan options. We had a platter of mixed cold vegan starters and a spicy vegan wrap. Don’t miss the fresh Lebanese lemonade! 🍋 Super fresh and super tasty!
