Great Veggie Restaurant - Edit
Plus - there were lots of vegan options. We chose the Leaf board and the Buffalo Cauliflower Taco. We each had a side order of fries. Our desserts were Carrot Cake and something called a ‘Crisp’, which was a Peach (& something else, I can’t remember!) with oatmeal - in England we would call it a crumble.

Everything Was Awesome! - Edit
I happened to stumble in here on happy hour, much to my dismay. However, I capitalized on an opportunity to try four different items from their limited menu before the full dinner menu was offered. Sometimes things work out better when you go with the flow and plans don’t materialize. Glad I was able to do some sampling.

Favorite place for vegan food in Boulder - Edit
I have been living in Boulder for two years and although there are a couple other strictly vegan places, leaf offers the best quality vegan food in my opinion. It’s also very accessible with items for folks who are not used to eating all vegan. Almost everything on the menu (if not everything?) can be made vegan. The environment is lovely and approachable and friendly, but also trendy and not overly pretentious. I’m a fan!

Came here twice it was so good - Edit
Loved everything! Food was great, good portion sizes, great service, creative menu, reasonably priced.
Read moreDinner:
Avocado tartar - very light, and tasty
Mushrooms - also light even though they were fried, delicious
Enchilada - huge portion
Jerk tempeh - star of the show, so good and interesting flavors
Carrot cake- good portion, delicious
Cheesecake - weakest of the courses, not overly flavorsome
Brunch:
Burrito - big portion, delicious
Tofu scramble with potato - big portion, so flavorsome. Perhaps a bit too much salt but still excellent
French toast - huge portion, quite stodgy and more like bread pudding but still good

Perfection! - Edit
Service, atmosphere, location, and delicious vegan options galore - everything was PERFECT. We were just driving through boulder, and this meal was such a treat. Pearl street is so cute - tons of fun shops. Be sure to swing by Paradise records afterwards to browse and chat with the owner.

Lots of options - Edit
The menu is clearly labeled with what’s vegan. The tacos are great! Atmosphere is nice. The quality of the food is a bit inconsistent visit to visit, sometimes things are noticeably less fresh, but for the most part it’s very good.

Tasty Healthy - Edit
Leaf Vegetarian creates innovative, delicious, healthy veg cuisine.
Read moreThe Jerk Tempeh was infused with flavor in every bite. It's scrumptious!
BBQ Seitan - a lot was going on in this dish but all of the flavors came together deliciously. Seitan curls, potatoes, dill potato salad, crispy shallots, and leafy veggies. This was a summer menu item.
I also tried the carrot cake. It was rich and moist, with more spice than I'm accustomed to, but it was still good.
Excellent quality food. Moderately pricey. Definitely worth it.

Great food! I got the tofu huevos rancheros and ate every bite. My husband ordered the vegetarian breakfast sandwich and loved it. The broccoli and potato soup was so nice on such a cold morning as well.

Cute place to dine in with plenty of vegan options - Edit
Nice place to eat after shopping around at the Pearl Street Mall. I ordered the egg & croissant made vegan with potato soup. Soup was great and super creamy. Sandwich was messy, but very good even with veg substitutions (tofu egg and vegan cheese). My partner wasn't as impressed with the huevos rancheros, so some items may be better than others.

Great Food & Great Atmosphere - Edit
Leaf was absolutely fantastic! We had the calamari style oyster mushrooms (my absolute favorite), the Ruben with vegan cheese, and the orange cauliflower. Everything was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant itself was gorgeous. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Boulder.

An unexpectedly disappointing experience - Edit
My partner and I were excited to visit Leaf while on vacation in Boulder after hearing such great things about it, but came away very disappointed.
Read moreWhile the buffalo cauliflower tacos were crispy and flavorful, the nori tofu was terribly bland. My partner's fattoush salad initially came out with feta cheese on it, even though she had explicitly had a conversation with the waiter about making it vegan (this seems to have been the kitchen's mistake). When a new cheese-less version came out, the dressing appeared to be a simple vinaigrette rather than the tahini dressing - it was neither nutty nor creamy. Fortunately our waiter was kind enough to comp the salad after that. We finished the night with a blackberry-strawberry crumble, which was enjoyable but not exceptional.
We experienced a wealth of great vegan options while in Boulder, so unless you're a completionist, Leaf is probably not worth your time.
Pros: Pretty interior, Convenient location
Cons: Vegan options are the same price with removals

Love at first taste - Edit
Leaf has been our go-to restaurant for celebrating birthdays for years. It's a nice sit down restaurant that's reasonably priced. The menu is comprised of "real" food and not processed junk food.

Yummy sit down place! - Edit
So many vegan restaurants are casual.. I liked Leaf because it was a nice looking restaurant with outside seating and tonssss of vegan food. Came once for happy hour and loved the mushrooms sliders, cauliflower tacos (a bit spicy) mushroom “calamari” (tofu fries were a little dry).
Read moreCame back again for brunch and loved the vegan pastry and mushrooms and gravy (was heavy tho so I recommend sharing and also getting a salad lol).

Found this place for lunch when in town mid-week. Great rigatoni/beet dish they made for me, though I'd arrived at their happy hour - which offers a smaller but serviceable menu. Will definitely find this restaurant again when I'm in the area.

So many vegan options here! Delicious Brunch - Edit
We absolutely loved having brunch here! I am partial to real food vs the fake meat, cheeses, etc. and this was exactly that. We had the Huevos Rancheros (with tofu) and the Hippy Sandwich (full of veggies and hummus). Plus, we had their amazing pumpkin muffins. The fruit was also very fresh (and no melon haha). Highly recommend!
