Great lunch & dinner spot - Edit
Nov 2021: Quick trip to Sarasota and my first stop was Leaf and Lentil for dinner on the patio. The crispy fried artichoke 'crab-cake style' veggie burger topped with remoulade, lettuce and tomato on a bun is exquisite if you love artichokes as much as I do! If I lived here, I'd go eat this all the time. My dad had the falafel wrap said it was delicious too. Potato salad side is still great, and the cucumber salad side is fresh and tangy. I want to commend the owners for making the restaurant accessible with a ramp and for donning a mask for me when I stepped inside to pay. Highly recommend.
Read moreFeb 2020: Was happy to discover Leaf and Lentil a few weeks ago. We had the portobello Reuben and the chickpea salad sandwiches and got sides of potato salad. All very tasty. I think the chickpea salad was my fave. I noticed a lot of people getting falafel salads, which I plan to try next time. Only area for improvement would be the cookies in the fridge... mine was dried out and bland.

Hi! Thank you so much for this review and the great photo! The chickpea salad sandwich is my go-to a lot as well. We are really happy you enjoyed your visit. And we appreciate your words about the cookies. We don't want to wrap them in plastic and to keep them fresh we need to keep them in the fridge. The brownies stay moist in there - but the cookies do get a bit drier. Not sure how to solve that issue. But if you prefer a moist dessert the brownies are great for that. We do have a large selection of vegan comfort food (the Reuben sandwich, polenta fries, etc.) But if you make it back, please ask about our oil-free options. We have two great house-made, oil-free dressings for salads. And we can make some main dishes oil-free (for example, we had an oil free group visit recently and we made our pasta dish oil-free for them.) Other options you may like that are low-oil are the rice plate of the day, one of our wraps, or the soup of the day. Please know you can call ahead to ask what we can make oil-free that day, or just ask our friendly staff when you visit.
