Cozy, Independant and Delicious!

Today was the day that I experienced this amazing small cafe in the heart of the Mile End. It opened up to me like a flower, as it looks small from the outside, but is not on the inside. The scents of spices perfumed the air and the sun bathed the cafeé with a warm glow. I was in-love! The space, the art on the walls, the Mediteranean feel to the decor and the FOOD!!! The vegan plate of the day was a real delight and so so fresh! On the menu was an Organic mesclun salad with herbs and shallots; a chinese cabbage, curry, raisin puréed soup and string beans in a tomato, onion and garlic sauce with all-spice! Home cooked and light and mostly organic whenever possible mentioned co-owner Laurance.
As I am mostly vegan, but on the rare occassion vegetarian, it is sometimes hard to find savory vegan food, but not at `le Zigoto`cafe!
The coffee is also Organic and fairtraded and one of the best I`ve tried in Montreal!
The atmosphere so soothing and the people attending to us so warm and attentive! I look forward to eating there again and very soon!
Another treat is the art work on display...it changes every 2 months. Check out their blogue www.lezigotocafe.blogspot.com
