for families - Edit

Vegan dishes are tosties, pasta and pancakes. (The tosties come with veganaise now.) Possibilities for gluten free versions. Vegan hot chocolate available. There are some vegetarian dishes on the main menu like pasta with pesto or soup but check with staff. Staff is friendly, families are welcome and there is a play area and books for kids.

Pros: families are welcome, good vegan tomato sauce

Disappointed - Edit

This is from a visit in december 2016.

There are vegan options standardly available: spaghetti and croques/tostis.
We went here for a quick (we hoped) snack before going to a show in the nearby Kursaal. Long wait for our croques to be served (nearly 40 min, waiter came to apologise, they had forgotten to turn on the toaster). We did get some appetizers with our drinks (olives and hummus), which was nice.

Croques were served with prepacked sauces, which were all but vegan, despite us having explicitly asked.
Vegs on the side were disappointing (precut, canned).

vegan croque monsieur - Edit

Ostend is not a vegan friendly place, so Le Touquet is a welcome change. To be fair, their options are limited. They have mostly vegan croque monsieurs, vegan pancakes, vegan hot chocolade (which seems to made with soymilk) and vegan Cappuccino. Croque monsieurs are made with wilmersburger cheese. I had to croque monsieurs with pineapple. Nice for lunch, would not recommend for dinner.

Pros: On the promenade, vegan cheese

good for a quick lunch - Edit

There is a menu dedicated to vegan options. Some of them are gluten free. It's mostly croque monsieur/toasts and salade. They also have veganaise (vegan mayo) for the fries. Not the best food you'll have but it's a good option for a quick lunch before reaching the sea.

Pros: cheap, family friendly
