A Totally Enlightening Experience - Edit
Do not miss this absolute gem , the food ,service , decor and energy if this place is totally amazing , we had the cannibal burger which is 2 different vegan burgers and we also had the Mexican wrap with a fresh made soda and amazing chai and it was €21 which is amazing , after the amazing food we spoke with the owner who also had a beautiful space downstairs for events and we enjoyed a transformational evening of kirtan singing ,highly highly recommend if your looking for a conscious hang out with high vibes and amazing food

Firstly the staff were lovely. The food not so much. Really didn’t enjoy it and felt quite uncomfortable in the restaurant, really not my cup of tea, others might like it though.

Great place, nice atmosphere, great price! Simple looking from the outside. Owner is very friendly. We ordered the various burgers. Patties felt home made, didnt look processed. Recommend.

When I asked whether there were vegan options, I was informed that everything on the menu could be veganized, which basically comes down to replacing dairy-based sauces with vegan ones. I had the skewers, a burger with peanut sauce (that I forgot to take a picture of), and the mousse au chocolat, all of which was very flavorful.

I enjoyed both the soup of the day, a spicy red bean soup, and the Aztec wrap. My personal highlight was their tea mixture with Roobois.

The service was friendly and the kitchen opens non-stop.
Note that it gets busy so I'd recommend booking a table in advance if you're planning to dine-in.

Read moreDiner in the back. A cosy relaxing space with low tables and many cushions. The owners are easy going and very friendly. Almost every dish can be made vegan.
I ordered the traditional Assiette Indienne with soup and vegan chocolate dessert. This plat had an authentic Indian flavour, so delicious. I also tried the Bombay Burger. The plantbased burger had many vegetables and tasted great. Good portions too.
Also drank the hammam tea, the white tea and a delicious green healthy smoothie.

I read lots of reviews saying it's Great Indian food. Those people have clearly never eaten India food. The soup was Mexican style. 80% of menu was burgers and wraps. My wrap was two pieces of fake chicken with a salad on top. Food was ok for 12,50€.The restaurant is decorated to look Indian But it is not not Indian food

Ethics, no waste and locally sourced seasonal veggies were also high on their agenda.

Nous sommes 3 vegans, de passage par dijon, nous avons décidé de nous restaurer au Shanti. On a pris 3 burgers différents pour goûter, tous étaient vraiment très bon. Un gros coup de coeur sur le "cannibale" ! On espère avoir l'opportunité de repasser bientôt !

Nice and well located in the centre of Dijon. That’s pretty much the only place where you are offered several vegan options on the menu in that town, which is a bit sad. That’s why I would recommend.

Nice to have vegan options in Dijon. We ordered all starters, which were okay but not very special. Then we ordered the bombay burger (with veganaise) and canibale burger (vegetarian). The bread was nice but there was way too much veganaise on the bombay burger, which made it really greasy. So overall a pretty average dinner experience, don’t expect traditional indian food. It feels more like fast food.
