French
Ethiopian
Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. The restaurant is French most of the week, but on weekends for lunch, it is veg-friendly because it's Ethiopian food (different chef from the French restaurant chef). A few vegan dishes on weekends from 11:30am-2:30pm. The French food is not veg-friendly though. Open Tue-Sun 11:30am-2:00pm, Tue-Thu 5:30pm-7:30pm, Fri-Sat 5:30pm-8:30pm.

SB has Ethiopian. The chef is Ethiopian and gets the spices herself. Great food for all.

Amazing vegan Ethiopian lunch! - Edit
My husband and I love coming to Petit Valentin for their weekend Ethiopian lunch. We get two orders of the Vegetarian plate, which gives us 6 different vegetable dishes. They serve it on a big piece of injera flatbread with extra injera on the side. Usually there are six vegan options, so they are all different, but sometimes one of the six vegetarian items has cheese, so we double up on one of the vegan ones, but there are always at least 5 different vegan options. Really perfect spices, tons of food for the two of us, and their beer and wine are great. Or get the iced tea, it's fantastic.

Pros: Perfectly spiced and so flavorful., Lots of great vegan options., Super cute restaurant, great ambiance for a date
Cons: Wish we could go for dinner too, not just lunch!

Most unique vegan option in town - Edit
When people ask me where's my favorite place in SB to eat vegan, I say Petit Valentein on the weekends for lunch. They change their menu on Sat and Sun to be Ethiopian food, which means you're getting a whole new flavor palate, that amazing injera bread to scoop up all the flavors, and excellent pricing. I have never had to wait for a table when I go around 1p (they stop serving at 2 I believe). Most of the items on the a la carte lunch menu are vegan, and well worth the visit!

Cons: I only have 1 stomach
