Best vegan meal I’ve eaten in France - Edit
We’ve been coming to this area for over ten years and have always struggled to find vegan food that isn’t just pizza without the cheese. Le Papillon is our new favourite place to eat. At this tiny eatery you get an exquisite three-course meal for €30 per person, set in a beautiful traditional Provençal village - a private and tranquil spot, with very friendly and attentive service. Could not recommend more. We will be back every summer!

Bijou vegan restaurant in the beautiful village of Castellet - Edit
Finally vegans can enjoy top-quality French food cooked with skill and imagination, thanks to new arrival Le Papillon. Joanna and her husband serve an all-vegan, all-organic three-course set meal accompanied by non-alcoholic cocktails and followed by coffee for around €35 a head. Diners sit under a shady canopy in front of the couple’s beautiful home overlooking the hills of the Luberon. This hidden gem is run as an on-demand venture, so booking ahead is essential.
