Good vegan food

I’m American so there was a language barrier. I did hear some of the wait staff speaking good English but our waitress did not. All vegan options are clearly labeled so I pointed at what I wanted. I got the botanic vegan which was a bowl of different spreads (hummus, avocado and beet) with toasts plus a sweet quinoa salad and some rocket lettuce. It was delicious. The only vegan dessert was labeled as a mini Bundt cake (gungelhupf). I ordered that by pointing to it on the menu. She brought me a large slice of marble Bundt cake. I was a little confused since it wasn’t a mini Bundt but whatever. It was clearly a slice of Bundt cake. As we were leaving I saw actual mini bundts in the bakery case, so…. I hope mine was vegan. There was no other Bundt listed on the menu. It was tasty but again, hope it was vegan. In retrospect I should have verified. FYI—it is very expensive.

Recently improved selection

They've now improved their vegan selection significantly: Avocado tartine (on bread), grilled vegetable tartine, daily soup, hummus, guacamole, tabbouleh and two desserts. So you get a very nice choice of things to eat, although most are cold.

known chain with some vegan options

The location is right at the foot of the Dolderbahn and thus ideal to get some nutrients before you start your hike. As the other braches, the food is quite expensive but freshly prepared and full of flavour. Especially the bread and pastries are authentique.

Pros: vegan clearly indicated

Cons: expensive, limited vegan options

A bit a pain

I had several times food for take away here - but I also walked out several times whit out buying any thing. I often don't find any thing appealing to me as the vegan options are limited and labels for ingredients and prices are missing.
If I buy, it tastes good but the food is over priced.

Pros: good location

Cons: Expensive, Limited options
