Deelish! - Edit
We ate both lunch and breakfast there. We were a group of 4, only 1 vegan, but everyone was quite happy with their meals. They have vegan muffins (yum) and I had a terrific vegan sandwich for lunch. The carnivores and the vegetarian were also pleased with their food.

There's always something vegan to eat - Edit
As with other Le Pain Quotidien branches in Paris, the menu has many vegan options (look for the "v" mark) including toasts, soups, mains; but also viennoiseries (croissants, torsades, cinnamon rolls) and desserts (chocolate cake, crumble).
Read morePlant-based milk (oat/almond) is also available for drinks.
The service is a bit slow; but there are many seats so it's a safe option for having vegan food or a snack during the day.
Pros: several vegan dishes, opening hours, location
Cons: not all vegan

O croissant de hibiscus é formidável, assim como o croque du jardinier, que ainda conta com opção de um delicioso pão sem glúten.

Good vegan blueberry muffin - Edit
Went to try get a vegan pain au chocolat, but sadly there weren’t any when I went, or none left. There was a lovely vegan blueberry muffin though, went down a treat with a coffee! Hoping to go back and get my hands on a pain au chocolat!

I took a breakfast there with a vegan pain au chocolat and a coffee for 6€, which is quite reasonable. Pain au chocolat was good, however it was a tad dry

Good place for a snack - Edit
This coffee shop is fully organic with a few vegan options for the pastries. My girlfriend and I went there for a snack. The hot chocolate is nice (you can choose how much chocolate you pour into your soy or almond milk) and the pastries are good as well. It’s a bit pricy but reasonable for the neighborhood. A big negative point : the place is crowed and the staff is too busy (we had to go three times to the counter to remind them they forgot : spoons, water and take our order).

Happy to have vegan and non-vegan options - Edit
When I’m eating out with people who aren’t vegan I’m so so happy when there’s obviously « normal » food for them and vegan options for me. And I had a hard time choosing among the vegan options!

Great matcha latte and a beautiful coconut dragonfruit bowl (personally it looked prettier than it tasted and felt that it lacked a little in flavour, but still great to find vegan options).

Filling Winter Warmth Meal! - Edit
As a vegan traveling with my dad in Paris, he put me in charge of all the meals out. Le Pain Quotidien was the first place we came across thanks to happy cow, and it was amazing. We must've hit it at a good time because it wasn't too busy, and there were lots of vegan and veggie options. I got a colorful salad and an enormous bowl of soup-maybe pea or lentil? With bread on the side of both, naturally. We also got hot lemon tea. I loved the rustic decor and homey-feel to the place.

I didn't get a chance to taste the food - Edit
We went in sometime in the afternoon, were led to a table, sat down, browsed the menu for quite a while, during which time the waitress asked if we were ready to order or needed a few more minutes, but only when we asked to order did she tell us that more than half the menu was over, with only 1-2 hot dishes (1 with meat) left. Granted it was late, but why let give people the menu, have them make up their mind, and only then tell them nothing's available?!
Read moreI would've gone out at that stage, but my bf wanted something to eat and got one of the specials. It had meat so didn't try it, but the dish was way, way over priced (the most expansive on the menu) for its size - and I'm a small person with a small stomach and usually don't have any problems in the portion size area, All in all, didn't leave us wanting to come back.
Pros: cozy interior
Cons: service

A little skeptic - Edit
My boyfriend and I went here, and I ordered the Detox Salad and he ordered the Chili Sin Carne, both of which were marked vegan. However, my boyfriend was fairly sure the chili contained beef. We hope it was a substitute, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem likely. He is only vegetarian while I am vegan, and it did not bother him as much as it would have for me. (The idea being that it is worse to throw the animal away). Also, my “vegan” salad came with real butter for the bread. It was a little concerning, which is disappointing since it’s a very common chain in Paris that would be a great place for vegans.
Read moreIs the chili did not contain beef, the place was only okay. The salad was delicious, and simple, just a few veggies, lentils and oil, and it was more expensive than it was worth. The service was again only okay. Our waiter spoke English to us as soon as he realized French was not our native language, and he was very nice, but it took a long time. In addition, the place was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. The only reason I would go back is because it is convenient (but I don’t think I will because I’m not sure if I trust was they consider to be vegan).
