Not a lot of vegan items to offer

Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ) is a fine restaurant chain that offers healthy food, with branches all over NYC. This branch is an ultra-charming, tiny kiosk in the tiny but lovely Verdi Square, right by the entrance to the subway. This kiosk offers coffee, with plant milk available, and a few (non-vegan) pastries and a few small (non-vegan) bites for grab and go, or perhaps to sit and eat on one of the places in Verdi Square. They offer some vegetarian items--but when I visited today, they had no vegan food items, other than a fruit bowl. They sometimes might offer a vegan banh mi sandwich (at least, other branches of LPQ do), but my experience today suggests that you cannot count on it.

Pros: Other LPQ branches are bigger and better.

Cons: Very few vegan items.
