Disappointing

I went there yesterday, because I know Le Pain Quotidien from Paris and Brussels, where I always can eat vegan dishes when I don't have any ideas where I can go to.

What a disappointment! The vegan dishes on the menu card were unavailable because many of the ingredients, as they said, were missing. The waiter told me it was so complicated to cook dishes without cheese and without chicken. I had to tell him kindly : "no, it is not complicated, if you are in Le Pain Quotidien. And if you are unable to prepare the vegan dishes on the menu card, then simply change the name of the restaurant. I don't understand why Le Pain Quotidien offers vegan options in Paris or Brussels so easily and not in Marseille." They could prepare me a lentils salad (I'd better have gone to the Indian restaurant, I think...), but there was for example no hummus like in Paris or Brussels, no "pot-au-feu" of "chili sin carne" on the menu card.

So, staff is nice and welcoming but not very committed to offering vegan options, even if they are working for Le Pain Quotidien.

Cons: difficulty to order vegan dishes, less vegan options than in Paris

Joli cadre chaleureux, bon endroit pour bruncher, belle déco. Les tables communales au rez-de-chaussée sont sympa, les petites tables sur la mezzanine aussi. Toutefois, les portions n'étaient pas très grandes et le personnel, quoi que nombreux, n'était pas très attentif ou alerte aux besoins des clients. Le panier de pains, initialement oublié, valait la peine. 3 sortes de pains délicieux! Belle variété dans le menu (soupes, salades, quiches, etc)
