Better fully vegan options available

I do occasionally pick up a hibiscus croissant or cinnamon roll take away, but not worth going out of your way to try.

Good breakfast

The café is very bio centered but has some vegan options. The food we got was really good and the coffee was amazing! The place itself is very cozy with shared tables that incentivize people to talk to each other 😊

Pros: Great coffee, vegan options, nice staff

Cons: pricy

Organic bakery and lunch bar

Cosy lunch- and coffee bar with several vegan and vegetarian options such as a sandwich, a bowl, soup, a salad and also a lot of healthy drinks.
Sometimes they can veganize a dish when you ask for it.

Pros: Organic food, Home made

I had two experiences here, one bad/one good

First time we went we got a slimy portobello burger and when the lady asked how it was, we commented, but she reacted defensive. So we did not come back for two years. Today i went back, had nice vegan crumble and okay cinnamon roll and most of all a friendly atmosphere response of the waitress when i replied on how i had liked it. I would come again, it's cozy.

Nice location of chain of restaurants in Belgium. They have several vegetarian vegan dishes salad, bread, toast, soup,...
This with quinoa, chickpeas, avocado, zucchini... very tasty.

Wide range of desserts

The last time they offer more and more choise in vegan suggestions, also a special vegan breakfast.

Pros: Tasty food, Good atmosphere, Good price

Shoudld be five stars!!!!

The vegan here is amazing, don’t be put off by them having the option to have meat; change will happen at its own rate but for now this restaurant is exceptional!

Pros: Excellent vegan options, Beautiful setting in rustic style, Amazingly well cooked food and delicious hot choc

Cons: Slightly expensive

Good vegan lunch

This is a nice location, part of a chain of restaurants in Belgium and they all have the proposal of vegan dishes based on salad, bread, toast...

They include things like quinoa, chickpeas, avocado, zucchini...so it's definitely very tasty.

For the desserts it changes apparently from location to location.

They clearly pay attention to vegan and are proposing more and more vegan suggestions, like even a special vegan breakfast.

Good experience.

Pros: Good vegan proposal, Nice place, Friendly staff

Cons: Removing meat and fish just a dream?

Vegan coffee

We went in for a vegan coffee and something to go with it. Unfortunately their vegan selection was sold out but they tempted me with a hibiscus croissant. The waiter was very friendly. And it’s great not getting strange looks when asking for vegan options.

Pros: Friendly waiter, Cute coffee bowls

Cons: Vegan option sold out at 3PM.

Not friendly for solo visitors

My first experience there was a few years back. I went in and wanted to order the bread basket (since as a vegan this was the only option for me) and was told there is a minimum two-person requirement to order it. So I had to leave. What I don't understand is that if they are trying to attract solo travellers by having long table seating arrangement then why treat solo visitors like they are unwanted? It made me feel so bad as I was truly alone at that time with no friends to even invite as I just moved to Belgium.
I will never go back again.

Pros: Absolutely none

Cons: Don't cater to solo diners, Overpriced, Don't cater to vegans

Vegan breakfast at LPQ

LPQ has several restaurants in Belgium. We visited the one in Louvain for breakfast.
There are several rooms inside the restaurant and a terrace in front.
Not that many vegan options for breakfast, but still, better than in most hotels.
Vegan options are clearly indicated on menu.
A bit overpriced.
Although we specifically asked for vegan, the waiter AGAIN served us butter (has happened on all our visits to LPQ).
It's about time LPQ has vegan butter standardly available ;-)

Here's our review from that visit:

Pros: vegan options clearly indicated), vegan breakfast

Cons: not so many vegan options , no vegan butter/breadspread

Small selection home made vegan

Super cosy place but not that great of a vegan section. Waiters were really friendly and there's a vast selection of jams and speculaas pasta. All of it organic and of the home brand. Pricy place but a romantic brunch would be in place here.

Pros: Cosy , Organic

Cons: High end, Small vegan section
