I really like the concept of le pain quotidien. We had a salad with some cheese and a sauce based on olives. There are vegan options available. It was quite expensive though, and not quite a lot. You can get extra slices of the delicious sourdough bread on request (for free). I'd definatly go there again but I'd watch the price this time. Friendly staff.

When going shopping in Hasselt, you used to wonder where you could get something to eat (as a vegan).
Well, now there is a Le Pain Quotidien-restaurant; and it's conveniently located near the main shopping street.
There are not that many vegan options: some of the soups, a dish with quinoa a lots of grilled veggies, some sandwiches. But this is the best and easiest thing around when going on a shopping spree in Hasselt.
Pros: Open almost all day, every day, Friendly staff
Cons: Not that many vegan options
