Good food but expensive

De mezzes were tasty but expensive 7,50 for one mezze. The bigger dishes, like the grilled vegetables and vegan wrap, were not that great.. they missed some spices.

You pay for a table outside. Waitress outside was very chaotic but friendly and kind. The manager inside was not friendly at all.

very good middle east food

we had dinner there. its located at the pedestrian zone with a lot of bars and restaurants. so its kind of crowdy. but we liked the atmosphere. we hat a mezzeh with 3 different thing to share. all was fantastic as well as our main dishes. the vegan plate (kind of a mezzeh on a plate) and my vegan tajin. simply perfect. as a desert we hat vegan baklava. all thumbs up.

Pros: lot of vegan options, vegan baklava

Lovely Mezzeh

They offer a really wide range of delicious vegan dishes. We opted for the mezzeh. You can choose the number of mezzeh you want, 12 of the 15 options are vegan. We had 6 and all were divine. We also had desert (vegan baklawa and halwa) - also delicious. Would give 5 stars if I could. Note that the vegan and vegetarian options are marked in a similar color so you need to look closely.

Pros: Fabulous taste , Many vegan options, clearly marked, Nice location

Soddisfa perfettamente le aspettative, c’è molta scelta vegana e vegetariana ed il personale è stato molto disponibile nel soddisfare le mie richieste, anche modificando la struttura dei piatti.

Good but not extraordinary

I had the mixed vegan plate which was good and additionally the wheat balls (Kebbe) from the mezze options (Nr 11) - this was very good though. The falafel were disappointing.

Amazingly delicious

The food is upper end mezze, quality ingredients and wonderfully prepared. The atmosphere is pretty and comfortable. The location is great!

Mezze portions are small so order three or four.

Vegan-friendly Lebanese restaurant

Vegan-friendly Lebanese restaurant. All vegan dishes are clearly-labelled. We had the six mezzeh plate (with four different kinds of hummus: plain, with mint, with avocado, with beetroot), mtabal (an aubergine purée with tahini) and vegan kebbe. We then shared a flatbread with falafel and hummus. Very kind staff, nice venue. Highly recommended.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Very kind staff , Vegan dishes are clearly labelled

Incredible yummy vegan mezes

We shared 10 mezes (all vegan) and loved them! In addition we took a lentil soup and a tabbouleh, which were also ok. The waitress was amazingly helpful and nice, and gave us also tips for the town. There are lots of vegan dishes in the menu and they are clearly marked. Would be a ***** place, if it was possible!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great mezes, Lovely waitress

Good middle eastern food

Stumbled on this by accident and very happy to have done so. The menu has most of the middle eastern staples on it but the best thing is that the vegetarian and vegan dishes are clearly marked - so there is no need to struggle with language asking the staff which items are vegan.

Can recommend the Shurba - a lentil soup with cumin, and the Patate con Harissa - nice level of spice.

Also there is a vegan dessert - halva - which is unusual to find (a vegan dessert that is).

Surroundings nice and comfortable and staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Pros: Good food, Menu clearly labelled, Nice staff

Not so sure....

I visited Le Mille e Una Notte during the month of August 2015 at lunch time.
The restaurant is very comfortable with plenty of seating inside and outside on the leafy avenue. The staff was very friendly and helpful but...
Unfortunately, the food is not, in my view, particularly good or fresh. I had a vegan dish and my boyfriend a vegetarian one both including the usual Middle Eastern specialities which did not taste particularly authentic (I had lot of Middle Eastern food in my life), tasty or very fresh.
I still believe Le Mille e Una Notte could be a pleasant place where to eat in case there is nothing else open. Sorry...

Pros: Central, Very comfortable seating inside, Friendly & helpful staff

Cons: Not very authentic Middle Eastern food, Not particularly fresh, Lack of taste

Good veg options, fair prices

This Mediterranean-Arabian restaurant right in Viale XX Settembre (Trieste's "La Rambla") offers a good choice of vegetarian dishes and some vegan ones. I recommend the "Vegetariano" and the "Mediterraneo" mixes that include felafel, hummus, dolma, eggplant sauce etc. Prices are reasonable if not cheap, expect to pay around 15-20 euro per person, drinks included. Excellent option in the heart of the city!
