Excellent Thai food which hit the spot! - Edit
I came here craving Thai food having eaten delicious Senegalese and Gambian food for two weeks just to have enjoy something different. Le Jardin Thailandais did not disappoint!
Read moreFirst off, definitely sit outside where it feels like a secluded garden amidst a busy city. So beautiful, serene and idyllic. I knew that there would be vegan options based on previous reviews but fortunately I speak French to ensure strict vegan meaning no fish or oyster sauce. I had wanted to order crispy tofu sticks however when I learned it was grilled on same grill as meat and fish it was a hard no for me.
Instead I ordered Tom Yam soup which was creamy, delicious and so flavourful.
For my main, I ordered Kang Siou red curry with veg and side dish of rice on recommendation of server and again it did not disappoint. I asked for quite spicy and it hit the spot! I enjoyed fresh ginger juice with my meal.
I saved room for dessert as no vegan dessert options had been offered nor available during my two week holiday so jumped at it. Again I could choose between tapioca in coconut milk with fresh fruit or mango sticky rice and the server recommended the former. Delicious!
Overall, an excellent dining choice from the setting to the freshly prepared food and highly recommended. Don’t miss out!😋💚

There is a section on the menu with vegan options. I got the spicy tofu and it was delicious. I also loved the decorations and ambiance at the restaurant.

There are lots of vegan options here and the food was pretty tasty. I had a vege- noodle bowl with tofu. No complaints.

According to the waiter, this is the only Thai restaurant in all of Sénégal. The menu has a whole page of vegan options, which is rare in Dakar. The food is good, though not amazing. The service is excellent and they understand veganism.
