Great spot to eat and shop - Edit
The Crac is located in a very nice area of town. I was impressed by the array of items I could find : liquid smoke, vegan ice cream, tempeh, Vegenaise, seaweed, coconut whipped topping, chocolate, etc. They don't seem to be missing too many items.
The deli counter is also quite appealing with dishes containing eggs or dairy being identified, generally.
Pros: Nice location, Friendly staff, Large selection of produce
Cons: A little pricey

Loved it - Edit
Great place. No seating there that I could see. Deli with a lot of vegan items. Good kung pao tofu. Crazy good tofu burger (really, really good) on gluten free, vegan bun (by request). Two flavors: bbq and sesame. I liked bbq better. Also, the grocery part of the store has huge selection of vegan items including some prepackaged deserts, as well as healthy items two. I enjoyed it a lot.
Pros: Tofu burgers
Cons: No seating

Yummy! - Edit
The Carotte Joyeuse was recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed by it. Lots of vegan food! I tried a wholewheat wrap and a pear and chocolate muffin and it was delicious. The staff at the deli counter was also friendly and helpful.
Pros: healthy food, nice atmosphere

Oh oui, Le Crac. - Edit
For having working there a while, I can honestly say le Crac is you best bet for good food at a fair price in Québec. Take out food, anything in bulk, supplements, helpful staff and the location.
Go get a burger, ask for veganaise and relish, wow.
Then go sit on St-jean and enjoy it, that is just true Quebec life.
Be patient at the cash register though, the system is dated.

Best burger in Quebec City - Edit
I love the burger at Crac. It costs less than $6 (in a touristy part of town where meals are usually more than $15) and I generally find it sustains me as a meal on its own. It's a slice of marinated tofu, with mushrooms, tomato, etc. Ask for it without cheese and with vegan mayonnaise. Only complaint is that the burger is only available at dinner time.
Crac also has a great selection of prepared food that you buy by weight. Usually all vegetarian, and many vegan options. Just ask! There *is* a place with tables to sit down and eat. It's hidden behind all the supplements in a separate room. Go look for it! They also do take-out.
Their payment system can be a little confusing if you don't speak French. Eat your meal, come back to the food counter with your tray and dishes and pick up your receipt, and then stand in line at the grocery check-out to pay for your meal.
Pros: Affordable, Yummy, Downtown
Cons: Few tables and seats

Amazing! - Edit
I try to go there as often as i can. Everytime, i'm like a kid in a toy store. It's amazing to see the variety of stuff they have. All the natural body products, supplements and vitamins in one section, ready meals, vegetables, fruits and cheese in another section, bulk nuts, flour, cereals and frozen products in another section, and my favorite section of the store: bulk teas and dried herbs! There is so much! Wow! I love this place!!! :D
Pros: Affordable, Bulk, Excellent variety
Cons: Staff
