Fresh food and nice people

I had vinegared rice with fresh vegetables, rice and caramelised tofu. It was originally a meal with half an egg but the staff offered spontaneously to remove it and replace it with more vegetables to make it vegan.
It was healthy, plentiful, tasty (especially the caramelised tofu).
A bit expensive for me but just the regular prize in Biarritz, especially so close from the beach. Nothing unusual there.

Pros: Healthy , Tasty , Friendly staff

Cons: Not cheap

Great place for a quick snack

Friendly owner. I said that I am vegan ("végétalien") and she recommended a delicious curry with rice, and a Miso soup. She proactively checked whether I really wanted vegan food.

Food came in actual dishes, not plastic.

The owner told me that she is vegetarian herself, and I told her about HappyCow.

Be clear about what vegan means

I told the lady I was vegan and she said she could make me some noodles. A: They weren‘t very good. B: there was an egg in it. It had such a weird color that I thougt it was fruit and bit into it. Bah. I told her and she said yes you don‘t eat eggs? Afterwards she made me some actually vegan rice and that wasn‘t bad. So I wouldn‘t come here again but if you explain clearly what you want you should be fine😄

Definitely not as good as expected

We ate at Le Comptoir Japonais because it was recommended by Happy Cow members but were very disappointed. It had small but pricy options, was not really made for vegans and a vegetarian dish that we ordered had fish in it. Even if you sit at a table, they give you plastic dishes - it felt bad to throw everything away afterwards. We had to find another lunch afterwards.

Pros: they had a vegetarian option

Cons: small portions, plastic dishes, not made for vegans

Nice California rolls

I took the California rolls that usually got salmon, but they were kind enough to rake it off but also, change a price to a cheaper one ! (Not every places do the same).
The real Vegan options are only meals like bo bun, I haven’t tried it

Pros: The staff is super nice and quick

Delicious! Take away style Ramen and Sushi!

We had the soba noodles and futo maki. Both delicious! It’s in an open area of a mall, so not really cozy for a dinner, but perfect for a quick stop and good food! Compared to other places in biarritz it’s cheap.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good Prices , Fast

Really Good Sushis

Really good sushis - I had the vegetarian option from the second selection, which I think was vegan (although I forgot to check). Everything is marked vegetarian with a small green leaf.

The sushis were freshly prepared in front of me & they were delicious- really like the addition of Inari inside the sushi (never seen that before)

Pros: Fresh

Cons: No toilet

Some of the best veggie sushi I’ve ever had

We had the beji futo maki to take away- Inari, seaweed, grated carrot, avocado and beetroot. Absolutely delicious and made to order. I also had some miso soup whilst I waited. So delicious but was microwaved and wasn’t hot enough. Veggie options clearly labelled and as sushi is made to order non-vegan items could easily be omitted.

Pros: Amazing futo maki, Good veggie options and ones that could be made ve

Cons: Miso soup not hot enough, Not a fully vegan place
