The sauces are amazing - Edit
We’re vacationing in Palm Springs and HappyCow is so helpful. We tried this place on other diners’ recommendations. The owners are very nice, the place was very busy with takeout orders and we were able to get a patio table. The Fresh rolls with tofu were crunchy delicious, and came with a nice peanut sauce. The Pad Thai sauce so flavorful, the Spicy noodles sauce also flavorful and was very spicy but they warn you and you can ask for less spice. Overall a great meal.

Accommodating for vegans if you ask - Edit
They will happily modify their dishes if possible when you ask (soups, bowls). Remember to ask for dressing without fish sauce if you have them modify a Bunh Bowl (delicious!) they will make you an excellent Thom Ka soup without fish sauce- so yummy!

Great vegan options - Edit
We felt very comfortable eating at Le Basil because one of the owners is vegan so they were very knowledgeable about vegan options. Menu items are labeled V for vegetarian or can be made vegetarian, most of which can be done vegan. We had the pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice and yellow curry, all with steamed tofu as the protein. It was all delicious.

Fantastic food and vibe - Edit
Very interesting decor, with a mix of traditional asian art and modern day furniture. Very comfortable feel. Looked to be a nice small bar as well. The food was fantastic. I got the shrimp green curry, but switched out the shrimp with tofu. It was top notch curry, perfect level of spice (7 out of 10 spice level) with good tasting tofu and veggies. Our servers were very friendly. Definitely want to go back for more.

Veg optional - Edit
I like that there are small v's next to dishes. This means it is possible for them to make a vegan version. I especially liked the spicy eggplant dish. Just the fact that they would have v's on a menu gets my vote. The owners are a sweet Thai couple that are very friendly and helpful. They work in the restaurant which is always a nice thing. I like to be a positive person so I don't fill out the pros and cons list unless something calls me to do so. Rule of thumb, if you like a lot of flavor and punch, then order something that has that. Don't just order lightly flavored vegetables and complain. If you like spice and flavor, ask the staff to recommend something, or read the menu carefully. Some dishes have more spice, some are more mild. Know what you are ordering so that you are not surprised by the level.
