Great salad

Beautiful view by the side of the canal. Eating here al fresco in the summer was absolutely lovely. The menu features a few vegetarian options (a pizza, a salad, a burger) that can be made vegan if you ask them to remove the cheese. I tried the vegetable salad and the vegetable pizza. Both were quite good, though beware that portions are large.

The salad was my favorite part if the meal. The vegetables were very fresh and bursting with flavor. The salad comes with these little toasts of bread spread with pesto and topped with tomatoes that were delicious. The pizza was also not bad. They added a very tasty sauce to it that made it quite flavorful. I just felt that their tomato sauce was too sweet and the crust was of very poor quality (definitely not homemade).

Still, it was a nice meal and I appreciated how friendly and accommodating the staff was. I would return if I was ever in Verdun again.
