So good! - Edit
The vibes, the food 😍😍 went here with my non vegan friends who also absolutely loved it!! We had the bbq wings (sooooo good) and mac and cheese! I ordered the cornfried tofu which was super good, but i didnt realise it didnt come with anything else! So recommend getting that in a burger, or one of their burgers instead. The wings were so good!

STUFFED!!!! - Edit
We've been meaning to try the roasts at LDK for a while and finally got there today and whoooahhh, I doubt I'll ever need to eat again as I'm so full!!! We had one pork belly with amazing crackling and the Xmas special plus a side of the truffle cauliflower cheese.... YUM to all of it, tasty, big portions, everyone's favourite frozen Yorkie smothered in thick gravy. No room for puds sadly! The service was very friendly, table service in a grubby rock pub indeed!!!

Worth the whole trip - Edit
I’ve had The Black Heart saved since I saw a reel over a year ago about the Sunday Roast and I’m so glad I did it. I’ve never had tofu like that in over 15 years of being vegan. The potatoes and carrots were melt in your mouth. Stunning.

Best Saturday brunch 🤤🤤🤤 - Edit
The food here is INSANE. Go hungry!! Enormous portions, every item is mouth watering. This is my go-to treat place. Food does take a little while to come out, and for Sunday roasts try to book in advance.

The bar is great, the food a little less so - Edit
The Blackheart is a great bar with great music. Really enjoyed my time there. Now when it comes to the food, I'll admit I had high expectations given the reputation, but ended up a bit disappointed. The cheezy fries were somewhat plain and I didn't really like the buffalo wings (but I could've enjoyed the BBQ sauce more, so that's on me for wanting to try something new). I'm sure many American-style food lovers would enjoy the food a lot though.

Awesome food and vibe - Edit
I had 3 wings with the jalepeno sauce and they were amazing. Really crunchy and the sauce was perfectly spicy. They're quite filling so don't order 6 unless that's all you want to eat.
Read moreAlso got the cheesy fries, which were also really good. The sauce was slightly lime-y which was a nice touch.
Cool grungey vibe

Amazing Sunday Roast - Edit
We had the Sunday Roast at the Black Heart and it was amazing! Unfortunately they were out of the tofu pork (get there early for that as it seems popular!) but the chicken style roast was great. Very generous serving, the veg is all delicious and the gravy was perfect. Staff are very pleasant. One thing I would say is that it has more of a drinking vibe than an eating one, but has a great atmosphere. I'll be back!

The Yorkshire pudding: wow! - Edit
Excellent from start to finish: the service was great and the Sunday roast was so yummy and full of flavor. I actually enjoyed all the fixings more than the protein/meat substitutes: the spinach, the crunchy roast potatoes, and of course, the Yorkshire pudding which was my favorite thing on the plate. I imagine the eggy texture was like the real thing. We ordered 2 children's meals and that was more than enough for us.

Divine Sunday roast - Edit
The Sunday lunch is divine. Wow. I really like that you can order a chicken, beef or pork roast, and they've all been designed (vegan) with care. The pork is obviously the one to order! Because you get a delicious soft umame-sweet "pork" plus a fabulous slice of crispy crackling. The side dishes are also really well prepared - the roast potatoes, the Yorkshire puddings. Outstanding. This pub will turn anyone metal :)

Epic Sunday roasts! - Edit
Finally I got to try the food here and the Sunday roasts no less! They were out of this world! It was a very large portion of food. The range of tasty vegetables was incredible and it was so filling and wholesome. I especially loved the potatoes, swede, creamy leeks, collards greens, and a fab Yorkshire pudding from Plantside. The gravy was super nice too. The mock meats were nice too. We got the truffled cauliflower cheeze which was also epic. This is the best Sunday roast I’ve had in London. The staff were also helpful and accepting.

Food was really good - Edit
We had some wings, Mac & cheese and brisket fries. I was hoping they would have had some baked beans and full sized briskets as well, but maybe that's at the other location. Anyways everything was really good. The food is served inside a dark pub.

Rockwing food! - Edit
LD’s is set in the Black Heart pub which is very a cliche rock bar with lotsa heavy music, black paint stickers and dark themed artwork. It’s a bit Marmite, we liked it I could understand others not going so. The food is all vegan and fun. Lots of tasty sauces and condiments slathered over chips and chicken wings some of which are very good. The real fun sax the Pickernocker glory, an ice cream treat with fried pickles. How’s that for interesting and imaginative?
Read moreThe toilets are a bit grimey. But the service was quick and friendly.

Authentic wings, worth the wait. - Edit
Headed to LD’s at Black Heart before a gig with a non vegan friend. Absolutely love this spot, it’s not changed in years and authentically Camden. Has a great vegan beer selection on tap.
Read moreWe ordered 2 x 6 wings, one southern fried and the other buffalo with some cheesy fries on the side. After 30 mins we were told they were no longer serving the buffalo wings so we went for honey mustard. We were sat for another 30 mins waiting - not sure if this was a particularly busy night or just slow service in general but maybe don’t head here if you’re tight on time.
The wings came and they were delicious, really hit the spot. I thought the texture was pretty close to actual wings and the breadcrumb was nicely seasoned too. The honey mustard was great had a little kick to it. The fees were solid and the vegan cheese was great and had a nice consistency and melted well. Even my non-vegan friend was suitably impressed!
Overall really worth going but slightly disappointed in service time.

Greasy and good! 🤘 - Edit
I was craving some vegan BBQ, and was so happy that I found this place. It’s a bit hidden and disguised as a pub, but the whole menu is vegan!
Read moreThere are a lot of options on the menu, a lot of Smokey BBQ, spices and cheesy stuff. I had the buffalo wings and loaded fries (and another thing I don’t remember) and it definitely covered my BBQ cravings! It’s all a bit greasy and the taste a bit overwhelming, but ended the evening being happy and full 🤤

Great Sunday roast - Edit
Went for the Sunday roast and had the “pork belly” (which was really just a couple of slices of tofu but sounded a lot more fancy that way) and the truffle cauliflower.
Read moreAll tasted great and it was a really substantial portion. I left feeling very full. And above all, it was great to have a Yorkshire pudding again after all this time!
This was a loud rock’n’roll pub, and it took about 45 minutes for the food to come out so just be aware of those things before you go. Otherwise, definitely check this place out!
