Serves meat, vegan options available. Opened December 2016. A Japanese izakaya, gastropub-style restaurant - a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara station and a 10-minute walk from JR Nara station. An izakaya is a style of restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes and snacks. Has an all-vegan menu (request it from the staff) of at least 20 items and can increase from month to month and season to season. Vegan dishes include smoked takuan, fried burdock root sticks, eringi (mushroom) karage, miso glazed eggplant, banyanya cauda, fuki-miso, vegetable bibimbap and more. Open Tue-Fri 5:00pm-10:30pm, Sat-Sun 12:00pm-10:30pm. Lunch by reservation only until March 31, 2017. Regular afternoon service starts April 2017.

5 Stars, Great Experience - Edit
I would give this place 5 stars if I could.
From start to finish the staff were very friendly and keen to strike up conversation. When we entered we were greeted in English and asked our dietary requirements. They have both bar and table seating options. Our waiter suggested we start with a drink while we looked over the menu and went on to explain the craft beer selection in detail which was a nice touch. The menu itself had lots of options for vegan and vego food. I highly rate this place on vegan and vego options alone. The atmosphere is relaxed, and with a few TVs on the wall, and nice place to chill out. Our waiter introduced himself and his team to us and told us about the area, Nara. Overall a great experience and I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Deserves 5 stars but HC said no - Edit
It's hard to find a restaurant in Japan with so many vegan options and such good beer, but this restaurant has all that and more. The prices were reasonable for such artisanal food, and we even had some dishes that were wild gathered. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Don't miss this place if you're visiting Nara! Delicious food, PLENTY of vegan options, great beer selection and lovely staff!
Only reason I did't give this place five stars is that HappyCow doesn't let me give five stars to a just "veg-friendly" place.
