Cool spot, yummy food - Edit
Good vegetarian menu, although not very clear what is vegan. Loved the place itself and the food was yummy! Can recommend the burger with chickpeas, the burrito or the rainbow bowl.

Not great for vegans - Edit
Although the look and feel of lazy cats is every Pinterest/Instagrammers dream, we assumed there would be more vegan.
Read moreWe came for breakfast and could only eat a bowl of potatoes &tofu. The lunch options looked like a lot could be made vegan by taking away cheese. The menu doesn't really mark vegan options except the avocado toast. The staff was nice and knowledgeable about vegan options. But for us, not a success.
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: No clearly marked vegan options on the menu, Don't do breakfast here as a vegan

Special place - Edit
Good food, mostly Western, and a nice atmosphere. Very unique cat paintings on the wall and decor. Great place, only thing we didn't like is that it's open and only has fans, no airconditioning, so it was quite warm

Not the best for vegans - Edit
Not very accommodating for vegan.
Read moreNo indication of what is vegan on the menu.
We asked if the burger was vegan but the waitress told us she couldn't tell us if it was because they don't make the bread.
So we went to eat somewhere else.

Lovely vibe, full of expats/tourists but really enjoyable decor and views. Great smoothies and some great GF vegan options. A little expensive.

Great for vegetarians, not vegans - Edit
So this place is definitely more targeted at the vegetarian crowd than it is the vegans, which is a bit of a shame because the place has a lot of potential.
Read moreLocated above some shops on the main road out of Ubud, the restaurant has a nice shabby chic styled interior, and you can tell that they've put some thought into the look of the place. Frustratingly they don't actually mark which items are vegan, and some which sound vegan actually aren’t, so be careful when ordering. We had the BBQ tofu bowl, which was good but nothing like what was actually described on the menu, which confused us a bit. It tasted more like sweet and sour than BBQ and didn’t come with the things it said it did... maybe there was a mix up? Either way it tasted quite nice but really if you’re looking for vegan food then there are better places nearby.
Place has potential, but really hasn’t made an effort to cater to vegans, which is confusing considering they have merch which says stuff like ‘raw vegan’. Looks like they are just trying to latch onto a hype without actually following through. Shame.
Pros: Nice BBQ tofu bowl
Cons: Not many vegan options , Food not as described in menu, Don’t label vegan options

Went twice in one day - Edit
I really enjoyed their BBQ tempeh wrap. Felt like I was back at home- the menu is more of an European style. I liked the wrap so much that I got it for lunch as well as dinner, both on the same day😄Also, the interior was awesome, a little bit of industrial side with warm colours and interesting wall deco.

Food okay - didn’t enjoy cocktail! - Edit
The tapas plates are okay and reasonably priced - 20k for avocado bruschetta style bread and you get four decent size pieces! Tried the special BBQ broccoli bites which tasted good but not like BBQ at all.
Read moreI had the tipsy tiger cocktail which was listed as ‘tequila, Cointreau and watermelon’ but tasted like sickly fake bubblegum flavour! I couldn’t taste the Cointreau or watermelon which I thought would be fresh.
Visually, a very nice place but be prepared for the instagram crowd taking photos and videos from every angle.
Pros: Reasonable priced tapas
Cons: Expensive cocktails not worth it

Barely any vegan options - Edit
It's rare to run into a vegetarian cafe with such a sparse selection of vegan options, especially when they have vegan slogans on their walls and merchandise. The breakfast menu was basically all eggs, and the few vegan options they had were quite basic and not even marked vegan on the menu. Nevertheless, my boyfriend really enjoyed the jackfruit tacos he had and the green smoothie I got was not too bad either. The café itself was gorgeous, so it's such a shame that they are just riding on the vegan wave without actually caring about the movement.

We ate here a few times. Every time things and meals were out of stock... so prepare to have more choices in mind as you order.

They don't have a whole lot of vegan options (came on the breakfast and had to order a lunch dish) although there are shirt everywhere saying "lazy cat, vegan, raw". So I felt that they are really just after the hype and money.

just ok - Edit
I had the avo toast with cashew cheese and a latte with cashew mylk. No items on the menu are marked vegan so you have to ask about each individual one if it takes your fancy.
Read moreThe avo toast was nice but nothing spectacular for the price. You get one cherry tomato cut in half, but it is presented beautifully. The cashew cheese is good.
The main problem was the latte, I'm not sure if the cashew mylk had gone bad but it just tasted awful and very sour. They had run out of soy.
The decor is beautiful though, I would go back to try other things on the menu.
Pros: nice presentation , lovely decor , nice staff
Cons: funky tasting mylk, a little overpriced

Pleasant and relaxing - Edit
Good place to chill out with a long terrace facing the main street and modern and Western-like interiors. The breakfast bowl was delicious with cashew milk, granola and lots of fruits, good portions and amazing taste. The coffee was also surprisingly good (I'm Italian and therefore picky when it comes to coffee ;-). All in all I will surely recommend this place. The prices are high for Bali standards but average for vegetarian/vegan restaurants or cafés in Ubud.

Good wraps - Edit
Nice place were you can sit outside or inside with cool interior design. We had two different kinds of wraps and they were great. Only a little bit disappointing that they have only cowmilk yoghurt and no plantbased yogurt with the fruit salad. The staff didn’t really know what vegan means.

i got a bbq tofu bowl with veggies, couscous and pineapple (which was the best part). i figured it would be on a bed of couscous, but it was a very small amount. wasn't a very filling meal, paid 60k for it.
