Amazing vegan breakfast - Edit
Had a great vegan breakfast here. Very generous portion size sausage, bacon, homemade beans, mushroom, spinach, fresh tomatoes, rosemary roasted potatoes. Definitely an excellent find. Gets busy tho. You can reserve a table. We got there about 8.45am on a Saturday and for a table inside there was a 50 minute wait although we could sit outside. Very popular and the food explains why. Sadly for a big city seems lacking as there doesn't appear to be a purely vegan restaurant. Not that we could find.

Mixed feelings - Edit
I’m a bit torn on what to write here. Visited a few times now and usually enjoyed it. The vegan breakfast is absolutely delicious and very filling. However on my last visit the customer service was very poor with grumpy staff who deliberately didn’t take our order until after others had arrived because we politely asked for a different table to the one offered. Food took ages with others getting served before us who had arrived some time after. I will try it again though.

Coffee and brunch! - Edit
The vegan breakfast at Layne's is great - potato on a breakfast is a little distressing to me, but they were really good (as was the bacon, which I was surprised about). It's a nice little cafe generally.

Solid Vegan Full English - Edit
I ordered the full English breakfast with an oat latte last week. It came with the This Isn’t bacon and decent sausages so it felt like eating a naughty fry up.
Read moreThey also have vegan sausage baps and fresh pastries on the menu so there’s a few things to choose from.
Otherwise just a standard cafe with no frills. Very busy, we had to book a table!
Pros: Fresh vegan pastries, A range of dairy free milks
Cons: Quite small and loud inside.

Leeds institution - Edit
Crazy that this place doesn’t have a tonne of reviews because it really is a Leeds institution which has operated in the city waaaay before most of the other places. It always have strong vegan options that are tasty and good value. Coffee is probably the best in Leeds.

Best brunch in Leeds - Edit
I'm surprised this place wasn't on happy cow already as its super popular. I had the vegetarian chorizo and it was AMAZING. The polenta complemented the tartness of the tomatoes and chorizo very well. The coffee is also really good as they are originally a coffee bar. I defo reccomend this place for breakfast/lunch over any other brunch places in Leeds.
