Veganized huevos rancheros

Nothing labeled vegan on the menu. Staff wasnt aware, but the chef came and told me they have vegan cheese and could veganize the huevos rancheros.

They ran out of tofu unfortunately, but normally they have that option.

Limited vegan options

Nothing on the menu was vegan but the staff made some changes to accommodate. The server wasn’t sure what vegan meant but I think the kitchen knew what to make. It would be great to see a truly vegan option on their menu.

Ask the staff to substitute tofu and remind them no cheese, butter, etc

Pros: Atmosphere, Coffee, Location

Cons: No vegan option on the menu

In Transition

Our first visit for a meal since the change in ownership from the previous successful operation. Brunch was offered in the main coffeeshop area with the separate dining room cordoned off for renovations/temporarily for laptops and long chats. At a communal table, we enjoyed very tasty huevos rancheros on flatbread w avocado. My partner ordered the same as I so can't report on much more, other than excellent coffee and a Danish. Service by a young staff. Happy vegetarian! $44.00 No wine or beer offered on this visit. License pending? Sunday NYTimes & Toronto G&M free for reading.

Pros: Well crafted food/ coffee offerings, 4 - 5 adventurous vegetarian choices, Friendly atmosphere

Cons: Somewhat noisy on our visit, Vegans will have to negotiate.
