Quick and easy - Edit
Laughing Planet has lots of clearly marked vegan options and is willing and able to modify other menu items to make them vegan. All their salad dressings are vegan (including a vegan caesar and an oil-free garlic tahini) and they have tofu, tempeh, and vegan cheese. It's a good spot for a quick, healthy, and satisfying bite. They have multiple locations around Portland which I have made use of many times when out and about with people who are resistant to going to an all-vegan restaurant (and also when I'm by myself).
Read moreI like the Thai bowl (tofu, green beans, broccoli, rice, cilantro-lime slaw, Thai peanut sauce), the tempeh royale burrito (rice, beans, tempeh, kale, guac), and the kale caesar.
Pros: Has tofu, tempeh, and vegan cheese, Menu clearly labeled

Tasty and healthy - Edit
Laughing planet is a nice place to pick up a healthy meal. I definitely appreciate the vegan labels and hope to see them continue to add more vegan options in the future!
Read moreThis location is in a funny little island of stores but they managed to make a nice little outside eating area. The staff has always been nice.
Some of their items are better than others, but I don't think I've eaten anything that I disliked. One of my favorites is the tempeh royale, which you can get in traditional burrito form (you can even add vegan sour cream!) but I really like it in the bowl. The tempeh itself is very good. The mushroom taco is also quite the treat!
I've had some of their bowls and veggie chili, which were good also, but not as much a stand out as the tempeh royale and mushroom taco.
One thing I will say is I scheduled a pick up order the other day for a specific time and I had to wait 25 minutes in the store before it was ready (I just got a PB&J smoothie with a side of rice and beans). It was just the one time so I'd definitely give them the benefit of the doubt. But if it happens again I'll go ahead and update this review to let you know. :P
Pros: Clear vegan labels, Healthy food, vegan add-ons such as cheese and sour cream
