Many vegan options

I just love when I go into a restaurant and find that there are several vegan options to choose from. That is the case at this place and it's a fun problem to figure out which entree most appeals.

I ended up getting the Beyond Steak tacos and my friend went with the Soyrizo tacos. Both were good with three generous tacos and some chips and pico de gallo.

Our server was friendly and attentive.

As another reviewer commented, you can see the large "Laughing Monk" sign if you're coming up Scotts Valley Dr. from Highway 17 but from the front of the restaurant parking lot it's not visible. The entrance is along the right side of the building near The Penny Ice Creamery (which has vegan sorbet if you need dessert).

I'll be back!

Great option in a food desert

Stayed nearby for the weekend and wanted to break away from the “pizza no cheese” cycle. Options include vegan choices (beyond burger, beyond tacos, pasta w/ cashew cream & avocado), and clearly marks out vegan & vegetarian. A small chain (this is one of 3) in the San Francisco area. Had the Holy Ghost beer. 🤙🏼

Pros: More than 1 vegan option, Menu clearly marks options, Pet friendly outdoor seating

Cons: Some outdoor seating is too windy, Signage for restaurant is hidden
