Lunch at Lauch - Edit
Had checked out the reviews so wandered down to this part of town, unfortunately the more complex fine dining menu is in the evenings which I hadn't realised so my review is based purely on what I had for lunch which was ok but nothing special to be honest.
Read moreStarted with the Veg Curry Soup, which was seasoned heavily and the salt was on the cusp of me sending it back. I do like salt in my food so ploughed on, there wasn't a hint of any curry in it but that may have been because the salt was overpowering the dish slightly. I would have expressed this to the lady serving me but she whipped the bowl off the table quickly without asking, the service was a bit odd I felt smiling but it seemed forced and not natural, maybe caught on a bad day 🤔😬 For mains I had the Chilli, Rice and Pea Guacamole. The guacamole was the best part of it, super tasty. Chilli was forgettable, a mixture of some veg protein, beans and sweetcorn a bit bland on its own but the guacamole lifted it. Dessert was a White Chocolate Mousse with Strawberry Compote. The texture of the mousse was perfect but it lacked flavour, Compote was lovely.
Slightly disappointed really, but also in myself for booking lunch and not evening as I'd have liked to have seen and tasted the fine dining menu. The fact it's vegan is why I've given it four stars, in reality 3.5 stars, I hate marking vegan places down but it wasn't great. Lunch 6.5/10.

So refreshing to find a vegetarian restaurant of AMAZING quality with such attention to detail in it’s presentation and flavour combinations. Only 2 items on the menu were vegetarian…the rest VEGAN!

Das Personal war super freundlich, das Essen sehr schön angerichtet und auch sehr lecker. Die Preise hingegen sind doch etwas höher angesetzt, was mein 2-Gang Menü mit einem Glas Bier, einem halben Liter Wasser und einem Glas Rotwein alleine knappe 80 Stutz kosten lies.

Extrem feines Gourmet Essen mit Fokus auf Lauchgerichte. Etwa 50% vom Menu ist vegan, und die Mitarbeitende sind extrem nett! Es ist nicht ganz günstig, was aber bei Gourmet Küche zu erwarten ist. Ambiente ist sehr romantisch.

Delicious food served with love - Edit
The food here is exquisite! The service was very good too! Under a wonderful canopy of trees outdoors, lit up with beautiful lights and candles on the tables, they serve the most delicious 4 course vegan meal. The dessert was also delicious!

If I had checked the price before walking into Lauch I might never have been, but I am so glad that we ate there. Really special, unique food in a beautiful setting with incredibly helpful and warm staff. Worth splashing out for a treat.

Just awesome combination of beautiful setting, creative dishes, careful ingredients selection, friendly service… they even graciously accomodated our last minute garlic-free request. Great wine selection (organic, local, natural) and useful advice to guide you through it. For sure it’s pricey but so worth it.
