Not a good option for vegans! - Edit
L'Aubergine is not a good option for a vegan at least. I ate an over priced lentil soup as there wasn't much options. Also all of us were disappointed with the quality and size of the dishes, also the non-vegs. In Cairo any traditional restaurant is a better option for a vegan/vegetarian, which makes me wonder why this is even listed here...

Cons: Lack of veggie options, Small and expencive portions, Heavy smoke

The place was a bit diffficult to locate because the phone number listed is incorrect. I believe the new number is 20-2-735-6550. This place was the best meal we ate in Egypt. Good service and good food. Met some nice people too. The night we were there many Americans were patronizing the establishment.
Pros: Great food, great service/ ambience, Bar upstairs
Cons: very cheese oriented, Only Turkish coffee
