Lau Nam Chay - An Nhien Ha

I would come here to try a new vegan restaurant and besides the food, I find this place confirms my belief that, why would associate vegan to only Buddhist restaurant in Vietnam? Looks like this is owned/run by some Catholic. And I'm happy with these restaurants, my Catholic friends would not say oh, God allows us to eat meat... so why eat veggie?? Thanks for being here and support the most humane diet on Earth...
Ah, the restaurant is nice and with many meaning quotes on the wall, quiet, with high tables, high chairs. Would recommend. :)

In the same area as a few other vegetarian spots, but this place is more preferable for its prices and food quality. "Lau Nam Chay" means vegetarian hotpot, so it's a good place to share the traditional dish. Also it serves a mix of single serving or other sharable dishes that aren't too expensive. This is one of three locations in the city (others are in Go Vap and D3). This location seems to 'rest' between 2-4 as in the restaurant is open, but the staff sleeps if no one is dining there. I wasn't kindly welcomed when I went the first time at 230pm. Every other time the staff has been kind, especially when I forgot my wallet and had to go back home to get it.
