Not bad, but lots of room for improvement - Edit
I was really keen to go here, because it's all vegan and I really wanted to taste those Brazilian delicacies that I usually can't try because they're not vegan. The place itself doesn't look very good, decoration is a bit sad. Service was also not so great, very grumpy staff. The food choice was limited to exactly 1 daily menu, which was in my case the burgers (in which you do have a choice).. I usually go to a restaurant to try food I can't make myself, but in this case I must confirm I make better veggie burgers at home. Does it make that very bad?? No, it was still alright. And the coixinhas made me very happy. The low prices too.

Las Vegans is in the middle of Lapa, a very touristic place know for its pubs and for being crowded at night. It is a good option if you are there.

I went here five times when I was in Rio! - Edit
This place was really close to the hotel I stayed at during carnival and I absolutely loved them! The food was amazing, the people were really nice, and the store was decorated super cute. It’s nothing fancy but it’s perfect for just chilling and getting good food. Get the black burger and use the option to add another “meat” and throw a bean patty on it. That’s what I did and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The “little snacks” are also really enjoyable and definitely worth a try if you want to taste a traditional Brazilian food! They have ice cream bars to buy as well so it’s nice if it’s hot out and you just want a quick delicious vegan treat!

Great food and interesting atmosphere - Edit
Had a really tasty meal here (sausage and cheesy chips and a lasagna) and some good caipirinhas. Really friendly staff who we're happy to help us in English as best they could. The karaoke was a bit bonkers but also very entertaining! Definitely recommend this place for something a little quirky and fun!

Uma rara opção na cidade para veganos que estão com fome tarde da noite. Um bar classico, com karaoke, cerveja e o diferencial de ser vegano.

Vegan Option in Lapa - Edit
It's not easy find vegan food in Lapa. This place open at night, you can get some good snacks, and drinks. For big meals unfortunately the quality is not the best option in Rio, but consider there is few places in Rio that serve vegan food during weekends and night time. Try the "coxinha de jaca" delicious 😋

Unfortunately poor food - Edit
I don't like writing negative reviews, but this time I feel I have no other option. I went twice and was really disappointed both times. The first time I had a lasagne, which tasted mostly like mushy overcooked pasta which was drenched in an overdose of bbq sauce. There also was a little stone in it.
Read moreThe second time I tried the burger. The bread was beyond disgusting, dry and it was really difficult to finish this again mostly bbq sauce themed burger.
I want to support all-vegan places like this one but they have to at least make edible food, and good food if they want to help the cause. This place fails to deliver that, and only gets one star for being the only all vegan place in lapaand one star for friendly staff. Two stars.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great location, Friendly staff
Cons: Disgusting food

Cosy place with plenty of options - Edit
This place is very close to the Lapa aqueducts. The staff are incredibly friendly and nice. There were two menu's: a vegan burger and salad menu and a more traditional menu.
Read moreThe burger menu had an option for a GF burger bun but they were out of those on the day. There were 6 burger patty options to chose from, vegan sauces and salads.
The normal menu had more traditional options, like vegan coxinhas.
Overall the food was nice and they even have kombucha on tap.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: Limited GF options

the coxinha is good - Edit
their social media is nicer than the restaurant itself. i didn't like the food with meat flavoured ingredients such as ham - it's way too salty and artificial. the coxinhas and other pastries are good.

Buen servicio. No muy buena relación calidad-precio. - Edit

Muito ruim / very bad - Edit

Okay... - Edit
Wasn’t our first option but we ended up coming here, the service is so slow and the food is basic for how much you pay. They didn’t have the black bun for my burger. They forgot we ordered fries so when we asked 30 minutes later they had to cook them then. Probably would avoid it.

The first vegan "dirty foot" I ever saw - Edit
Las Vegans is a "pé sujo" (dirty foot), a slang for a very simple, cheap ans bar-like restaurant. It uses to have 4 salads and 8 hot dishes for lunch, execpt in days of few people in the city center. My female friends does not like the womens' restroom. At night weekends, there is karaoke and "grainburguers" for who is going (or coming back) some party in the nearbies.

Tasty burger and chips! - Edit
I last came to Rio in 2013, and when I was here I remember that it was very hard to get a vegan meal that wasn’t super healthy stuff, so it’s really exciting to come back here now and find that there are not only more vegan places to eat, but also more options for more junk foody stuff like hot dogs, burgers, chips and cake. The service was a wee bit slow and the toilets could do with a clean, but the staff were very nice and the food was delicious!

this place is different from other Vegan restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. The location is a garage in Lapa street level with cars stopping in front of the entry. The staff is easygoing but super disoriented, service is slow and the food quality ok. The music is good.

Too costly, poor quality - Edit
I went couple of times there cause I was staying in lapa and cause they had long opening hours.
Read moreFirst day I took the soy burguer that cost 12 rs, which was a good price for the quality of the burguer.
The second day I went for lunch to try out the menu options, I took the feijoada, cause is one of the typical Brazilian dishes and I was curious. It cost 30rs and the plate was pretty small and just rice beans and a bit farofa, which at most should cost 10rs in my opinion. Also the beans tasted a bit accidic as if they were already expired. And the staff wasn't the best either.
There are better vegan options in Rio, and to eat rice and beans you can go to almost whatever restaurant and it will cost 3 times less.
Pros: Fully vegan
Cons: Careless staff, Poor quality, Expensive
