Lovely local ice cream shop just outside one of the old Medina gates.
Read moreThey offer a mix of classic (e.g.chocolate, strawberry, oreo) and local flavors (amlou, fig, wild raspberry, amlou).
I really enjoyed the fig and local wild raspberry sorbets. For the latter, ask for it specifically as it is not displayed in the main case but apparently saved for those who know about it already. The owner revealed it to us only after a long conversation and after my husband had tried and heartily praised all the traditional Moroccan ice cream flavors.
I did taste the amlou and chabakia (moroccan sweet) ice creams and they were phenomenal. Better than the sorbets, but sadly not vegan.
Worth a stop on a hot, Chefchaouen day.
Pros: Tasty local flavors, Friendly owner, Inexpensive
Cons: Not too many sorbet options , No creamy vegan options
