3.5 stars

I liked the flavor of the food but wish the tortilla on my tapas was stronger and also the portions were larger. I really liked the drinks!

Lots of choice

Lots of choice on the vegan menu. I had the moqueca de palmi curry - really tasty and filling. They had a lot of choice for vegan puddings, too. The coconut creme brûlée was excellent.

Boozy brunch

I had the vegan nachos & vegan burrito, both so so yummy. Unlimited cocktails included with both courses for £30pp 90 minutes. I’d give it a 5 but they’re not fully vegan/vegetarian so I can’t.

Pros: Strong vegan options

Great menu with many choices

Although I prefer to eat in wholly vegan places as much as possible, so far as chains go Las Iguanas was one of the first to introduce a separate vegan menu several years ago now so it's vegan offerings are much more than a token effort. The vegan menu changes and increases regularly too. A big plus for me is that the vegan wines are also labelled. This time we tried the Caribbean inspired No Goat Curry which was quite firey and very good. A big thumbs up from me.

Try the tacos!

A friend and I met up at Las Iguanas to catch up over some food. The person who greeted us asked if we wanted any of the vegan/vegetarian/gluten free menus, without us having to say anything, so we felt welcome and comfortable straight away. They found us a nice table so we settled down to pore over the options.
The menus were a bit confusing (The veg/vegan menu has 'V' for vegan, while the others have the same symbol for vegetarian, with no vegan info). Some of the 'ask for vegan' combination options were then followed by a list where nothing was marked vegan, but a quick check with the staff revealed they could provide most of the marked options for us with appropriate changes to make them vegan. The staff member was very helpful about the food options, and had no problems with checking on the veganness of anything we weren't sure about. Eventually we settled on the taco sharing tray, which came with tacos, corn chips, guacamole, coconut butternut squash, and chickpea chilli. I got some extra guacamole too. It was the perfect amount for two and very, very yummy!

Despite being almost bursting, we couldn't resist sharing the Tembleque (coconut pudding) - which turned out to be a good thing as it was amazing!

We'll definitely be back!

Pros: Vegan menu offered on arrival, Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, Yummy food and great atmosphere

Cons: Menu took a bit of decoding
