Peaceful charming restaurant with many vegan options - Edit
The atmosphere was peaceful and comfortable. A calm haven in Panajachel. Had the Pepián (Guatemalan stew) with Tofu and it was very fresh and comforting. Will be coming back to try the many other dishes. Serve breakfast/lunch/dinner and some vegan dessert options

Best Tacos ever - Edit
on my second day in Panajachel, I already returned and even though I like to try new things, I had the same dish again. to the end I got sad as I realised it might be the last time I would eat these amazing tempeh tacos.

Is situated in a patio and is quite calm for Santander street. Staff is amazing. The food is... well... see above...

GREAT VEGAN ASIAN OPTIONS - Edit
Had the "Menu of the Day" for just Q60 that includes miso or dumpling nasi goreng / chao min / chop sui fruit and everything has the alternative with tofu/tempeh or shitake. The miso soup was superb and the Chao min was a big dish that improves if you add the sauce.

Good variety of vegan dishes - Edit
The menu is quite extensive here, most dishes can be prepared vegan on request. We tried the Hunan wok and the nasi goreng, both were nice but could have been punchier on the flavor. The tofu satay sticks were great though. Would love to come back and try the potsticker dumplings which are apparently well known at this spot.

Chinitas has a wide variety of dishes that can be made vegan. The emphasis is on Asian dishes such as stir fries, nasi goreng, chow mein, summer rolls (my favorite!), and dumplings. It is one of the few places you can get vegan desserts, including chocolate cake and dairy free ice cream.

We went there 3 times for breakfast and dinner and I expect we’ll make it another time before we depart Pana. The owner is very nice and the food taste great. It’s simple wholesome home cooked food at a fair price. Maybe the menu is a little extensive, but we didn’t try anything we didn’t like. The chocolate cake is to die for!
