Average Sri Lankan Food in Sydney - Edit
Lankan Railway Cafe does serve up some average vegan Sri Lankan food. I’ve definitely had better here in Sydney. I’ve been here a few times and have tried multiple curries, the vegetarian kottu roti and string hoppers. I did enjoy the watlappam (a kind of Sri Lankan dessert) as well. I was very disappointed that they did not have hoppers on any of the days I visited. Also not a fan of the takeaway set up where the curries are pre made and not fresh (this is a personal preference). If you’re looking to eat good Sri Lankan food in Sydney I would recommend Kandy Bites in Glebe over this spot.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
The food is delicious and there are lots of vegan options available. Half their curries are vegan. Definitely recommend the dahl, beetroot curry, sambar, deviled potatoes. You can eat in or take away. Janaka & Nilu are so nice and welcoming.
