An attempt at vegan fine dining that falls way short of the mark.
Read moreWent on Valentines day at 5.30. Service felt rushed as they obviously needed to turn the tables round quickly.
While the food was beautifully presented, the flavours just didn't pop like I expected, and a few things even bordered on unpleasant.
When my partner dared to mention she wasn't too keen on one of the dishes, the waiter made her feel like she didn't understand what she was eating and the menu was too challenging for her!
We have been to a lot of the Michelin stared and recommended restaurants in the area, so we know what fine dining is about, and while we may not have the best palettes in the world, we don't consider what Land has to offer to be outside our realm of understanding.
A very disappointing experience. One mandatory star for being fully vegan, and one for presentation.

We have to agree..when we first went to Land a year ago we were bowled over but the food and the whole experience..so we bought 2 vouchers , one for ourselves and one for myself and my cousin.
Read moreWe were so disappointed l The food was average and as you mentioned some very unpleasant. My cousin and I left some of two of the courses, one was absolutely awful, like the ‘creamy’ part of the dish had gone off . we very politely said when he asked the obligatory question after each course but there was little response from the waiter.
We also sent them a very polite feed back and had no response .
We won’t be going again ..

I finally got to eat here after wanting to go for a while. I had an 8 course taster meal. All the food is fully plant-based. The food and service were amazing. One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve eaten in.

Each and every course was so stunning I had to eat it in tiny mouthfulls. The wine pairings were also the best pairings I've had anywhere and included some really interesting and unusual wines. Will travel to Birmingham again just to go here.

Land is an absolute visit for any foodie in Birmingham. The 8 course fully vegan menu was genuinely fantastic, with each small course providing new flavours and variety. The selection of wines was also very complimentary. The staff were helpful and friendly.

I've been to Land a few times and it gets better everytime. The food is sensational, the wine wonderfully curated, and the service 2nd to none. We are very lucky to have this in the Midlands, if it was in London it would be booked out months on advance.

Loved our experience at Land. The food was delicious and different. I would have liked a paper menu explaining each dish- I guess that way you do read all the courses and lose the element of surprise but it was hard with background noise to always hear the detail of the dish as explained by the staff. We loved every course on the tasting menu and it was great value. We’d love it if they did a cookbook or cookery course! Would be wonderful to introduce friends to these dishes.

I had a wonderful experience at Land. The food was delicious and creative, and it was quite affordable for a fine dining experience with a tasting menu (£45 for 8 courses), though drinks were expensive. The tomato consomme was absolutely spectacular! Service was good. It was weird to have to choose a tip in advance (you have to pay when you make your reservation), but the service didn't disappoint.

This restaurant is my favourite. I have been to other vegan fine dining restaurants and even though they cost more they have not been as good as here. The atmosphere is lovely. The design and crockery is carefully selected and feels like a treat. The food is delicious and I have had a few different menus now and have all been amazing.

A truly amazing experience with some of the best food I have ever eaten. Every course was impressive in its own right but highlights were roast potato with dashi buttermilk, samphire and pickled gooseberry, aubergine scallop and mushroom & celeriac tartlets. Will definitely be back.
